  1. Yelich 1st Half vs 2nd Half Tracker ABs: 187 / 14 AVG: .241 / .286 OBP: .399 / .375 SLG: .369 / .571 OPS: .768 / .946 ISO: .128 / .285 BB%: 25.1 / 12.5 K%: 27.7 / 18.7 2B: 7 / 1 HR: 5 / 1 HE'S BACK
  2. Its not just maintaining MVP level play, he has lost all of his power. He went from a .598 SLG in 2018 and a .671 SLG in 2019 to .387. Here is hoping he has a second half turn around like 2018. Second half starts tonight and Yelich and Hiura are going to revert to their 2019 numbers. Lets go!
  3. Have they mentioned anything about not targeting high school players? I can understand last year because of the pandemic but 2019 did not yield a high schooler until the 9th round and not taking any this year I am guessing this is now an organizational philosophy?

  6. Yelich's OPS is all based on his extremely high walk percentage which probably is unsustainable if he continues to slug below .400. I don't know what is going on with him but his mechanics look completely messed up; he seems to not be bending his front knee properly which might mean he never recovered from fouling the ball off the knee. It was a fracture of his knee cap which healed on its own without surgery. At worst he would have had to wear a locked brace on his leg for 6 weeks. Yelich is still a good baserunner, and is never described as "lumbering" which one would expect if there were any lingering issues. His fractured patella has nothing to do with his current performance. Rather, take a look at Yelich's career line before he was traded to Milwaukee .290/.365/.406. Since the end of 2019 his OBP is .379 and his Slugging is .410 right in line with his Miami numbers. It just might be who he is: high on-base percentage, and more of a doubles/triples hitter than a player who will regularly stroke 35+ homeruns a year. His production in 2018 and 2019 certainly appear to be outliers and likely will be the two best of his career. That would be very bad. The Brewers aren't paying him to be a high OBP and doubles/triples hitter. They trusted his 2018 and 2019 enough to give him that massive deal and if this current version of Yelich is what we are getting going forward then this is a major bust of a contract.
  7. Odd timing, we don’t have a pen arm that needs to be replaced. Cousins and Sanchez have thrown well in their first few appearances. I doubt it’s to replace Boxberger, Richards, or Strickland. The only thing I can think of is adding another lefty to the pen to combat some of the Cubs lefties and sending Cousins or Sanchez down but they really haven't warranted a demotion. Still haven't seen anything from legit sources so who knows
  8. Sounds like Ashby has been promoted https://twitter.com/CrowderBasebal1/status/1409899659494035463?s=20 https://twitter.com/GeorgeBalekji/status/1409908269712297988?s=20 However, I will wait for legit team sources before believing it
  9. Not sure how reliable this is since I have not seen it from any legit team sources but... https://twitter.com/CrowderBasebal1/status/1409899659494035463?s=20 https://twitter.com/GeorgeBalekji/status/1409908269712297988?s=20
  10. Getting Yelich going is huge. I thought this was interesting... 2018 1st Half PA - 357 BA - .292 OBP - .364 SLG - .459 ISO - .167 K% - 23.2% BB% - 9.2% AB/HR - 28.9 2021 1st Half PA - 186 BA - .253 OBP - .409 SLG - .404 ISO - .151 K% - 27.9% BB% - 20.4% AB/HR - 29.2 As frustrating as it has been watching Yelich struggle (compared to his full year 2018/2019 numbers) his first half in 2018 wasn't out of this world. It was the second half where he really went on a tear. Here is to hoping he can find that power stroke again in the second half!
  11. Slowly trending upwards... June 16 - .385 SLG/.137 ISO June 23 - .397 SLG/.137 ISO June 29 - .404 SLG/.151 ISO
  12. Goin once, going twice, going three times....Reserve Price Not Met *Auction Cancelled* Didn't you know that if you say his name three times, you wish him into existence in a Brewer uniform? Whoops. Just really wanted to get my point across
  13. Maybe Jedd Gyorko is getting bored at home...
  14. Where is Nottingham these days? He's been dropped and picked up so many times I can't keep track.
  15. Your weekly Christian Yelich power progression update June 16 - .385 SLG/.137 ISO June 23 - .397 SLG/.137 ISO
  16. I think we thought that the last time they called him up
  17. In 51 PAs in June he has a slash of .273/.373/.636 for an OPS of 1.009. MVP numbers right there
  18. Well, circling back on this. His game is devoid of any power whatsoever. He is currently slugging .385 with an ISO of .137 It's pretty remarkable how much he has fallen off...
  19. Mentioned before but JBJ has now had 5 seasons out of his 9 where he was holding below a 200BA at this calendar date. He has often pulled it up to .220 by mid July and finished a little higher 2 of the previous 4. So he should trend towards 200 over the next 4 weeks. But not likely to find 220 by season end. .771 OPS in June!
