  1. I want to see Yost drop a 360 degree F-bomb on a robot umpire.
  2. I actually wouldn't mind an NFL style replay with a limited number of challenges for all plays other than ball/strike calls. I don't see any reason why you can't review whether a ball is caught or trapped by an outfielder, or whether a runner touches home before a tag is applied.
  3. I think keeping Jack Z/Doug M around is a bigger priority for the Brewers than any single player. Losing Prince/Braun/etc to Free Agency hurts far more than losing the excellent personnel we currently have scouting and drafting for us.
  4. Just put a foreman grill on the bullpen advisory system to represent ray king.
  5. If Ray King actually eats Greg Aquino whole before the playoffs start, can he pitch for him?
  6. I know it's the venting thread, but abbreviations for blocked words are still against site policy... Sorry. I'll move my comment to a more appropriate medium. If you see persons at the Brewer game with blue shirts and yellow writing containing the contents of my previous post...please say hi to me and my friends.
  7. Aquino? Seriously? *** Yosted. I'm joining those who are in the "straw that broke the camel's back" mindset with this game. I've had enough. Off with his head.

  9. All they need to do is have another manager blow-up and a dugout fight! That's what caused their hot streak according to ESPN. Players?!?!?! Talent?!!?!?!?!?! How do those affect baseball?
  10. If we could convince David to grow a Goatee, slick back his hair, and wear a purple jumpsuit I'd be all for it. 8 year olds dude....8 year olds.....
  11. Voodoo magic is a distinct possibility. Isn't that what VORP measures? Voodo Over Results and Performances?

  13. For the record, after the loss I spun the "Wheel of Accountability" to determine the correct member of the organization to 'blame'. The wheel came up with Melvin, because he did not take my 8th inning suggestion to DFA Parra, and as you can clearly see from the box score Parra was the losing pitcher. Please everyone position your blame accordingly. I'd hate to be inconsistent with it.
  14. On a side note, look at the K/9 list. This thread is leading me to believe that our bullpen has been quite unlucky. We're top 5 in MLB in WHIP, K/9, and K/BB. However our ERA is middle of the pack. Perhaps one of the stat heads can back me up on this, but it looks to me that the bullpen has underperformed when compared with the performance we should be getting considering the secondary stats. Or am I missing something?
  15. HAH, I've already added a WHIP list before your edit was up TLB! Advantage Burns.
  16. Ummm... how about Detroit? Our Bullpen ERA is almost a full point lower than theirs. We're also beating Philadelphia, Colorado, Los Angeles Angels, and the Cubs in Bullpen ERA. Oh, and if you're a believer in WHIP, then our bullpen looks even better.
  17. Hammys can be weird. I really don't feel guilty for not feeling for soriano. Fact is, the injury helps the Brewers win the division, which is what I want to see. If Urlacher and Devin Hester both had season enders tomorrow I would be devastated. I don't root for injuries, but if one happens to a division rival I don't feign sadness.

  19. The "we're wasting Parra's innings" reminds me way too much of the "Jenkins only hits when it doesn't count argument". If Fielder would have jacked another home run and we ended up winning no one would talk about "wasting innings". Given that there were 12 runs scored in the first 3 innings, I think it's a decent thought that the Brewers might be able to get on the board at some point in the last 6 innings. It didn't happen, but that doesn't mean that we should have just rolled over because we were down 7-5. I think it's pretty hard to 'waste' innings, unless you are completely and utterly without hope in the game (like 12-0 or something like that). Having a good pitcher in there with a 2 run deficit when the opposing starter has looked vulnerable makes good baseball sense.
  20. Option 3: Watch Brewers on ESPN to see Erin Andrews while listening to Bob and Jim do the call. Option 4: Have the game on the TV, watch from the computer, and google Erin Andrews to your hearts delight during commercials.
  21. Why do I feel that if Daron were still around and we e-mailed him about how we didn't have an IGT yesterday he would mention it on the air.

  23. The biggest story line here is Weeks going down. Hopefully he'll get his groove back with a steady diet of AAA fastballs. Confidence matters in baseball, and Rickie has apparently lost it. As far as Joe Dillon goes, I like that the organization is giving him some time up here. Who knows, it's always possible that he changed his approach from the last time he was up in the bigs, and it'll take a while for pitchers to figure out how to get him out.
  24. I think this is the biggest news to come out of yesterday long term. I don't think the Twins are in a position with their current plan to beat the Tigers and Indians in the near future. Santana being unhappy with the Twins creates a real possibility they do something next year or the year after to move him for other long term help. So, we have a bidding war for the best player in baseball on our hands. Will the Yankees Red Sox or Angels put up enough to get him? Or will a smaller market team with a good farm system *cough* manage to beat out their offers? Something to watch for sure.
