    Yeah, this team is supposed to give Philly any sort of trouble in the NFC this year? Philly and Detroit would boat race us even in Lambeau if we played next week. Beating Minny or Chicago at home right now would be a dogfight at best. They are in a bad place.

    You know how it was inexcusable that the WR room was allowed to become so bare at the end of the Rodgers era? It’s that inexcusable that they’ve whiffed this badly on the o-line. Yes, no Tom and no Banks is a problem. But they had a whole week to get ready for this, and it isn’t like Dallas is a hellacious defensive front. You can’t pour this much money into things like QB and EDGE and then allow your o-line to be this bad. They’re on the verge of torpedoing a second straight game against a supposedly inferior opponent.

    This from baseball reference on Ortiz and “Clutch” is maybe the best I can do for stats without expending a lot of effort. Considering he’s got 105 hits on the year and 51 are from while the Brewers are ahead, I’d say there isn’t much difference for him. He’s been bad regardless of the situation, and since he’s getting a lot of ABs with runners on, that’s bad for the team. I don’t know if the numbers need much more parsing than that.
