  1. Atta boy, Koenig. Don't let the man get you down.
  2. Tom Hanahan is not impressed with painting the corner.
  3. I mean, they had to pay for their hubris in not bringing in a lefty and not even really pitching him all that carefully with a base open. The guy is still Christian Yelich.
  4. Gotta find a way to hang on in this one and staunch the bleeding.
  5. Oh, and speaking of games I’ve got circled: 12/7. If we’re hitting Jayden Daniels this hard, I can’t wait to see the hurt this front can put on Caleb Williams
  6. Who knows what Detroit and Washington look like later in the year—maybe they’ll be down and these wins look pretty mid in hindsight. But these are definitely two you have circled on the schedule in August, with all our historical issues getting going early in the year, and going up against two teams in five days with a combined 27 wins last year. And to not only win but look clearly superior in both is a really encouraging sign. Great start to the year, and still plenty of room to grow. Get the o-line healthy on the mini-bye and keep it rolling now.
  7. Wicks on the hands team made me a little nervous for a split second there, but he handled it perfectly.
  8. It has been called both ways, so I guess we can’t complain too much, but I don’t know about some of these defensive holding calls. Especially ironic with Richard Sherman on the mic for pre and postgame analysis…
  9. Nice kick by McManus to atone for his doink and salvage that drive. And on that possession, I had to shake my head and laugh. It really is Green Bay tradition: quarterbacks, regardless of their experience level or savvy, will take deep shots at really inopportune moments. You kind of just have to live with it, I guess.
  10. What Kraft is doing to this defense reminds me of what it looked like to watch tight ends decimate the McCarthy and Rodgers era Packer defenses over, and over, and over again without any appreciable defensive adjustments. It is nice to be on this side of the beating stick for once.
  11. I know making a play in space is tough, but it’s 35 year old Ertz. Announcers want to keep complimenting Walker, but this year especially, he really looks like a clear weak spot compared to the stars around him.
  12. I think it is safe to assume Jayden Daniels has some year 2 growing pains a la CJ Stroud (and Love) last year after impressive initial campaigns. It’s still early, and conditioning and injury volume is not ideal for us at the moment, so a loss wouldn’t stun me. But the Packers should be better than Washington, and should win.
  13. Ok, maybe McCarthy has a little something. Not a fan of that development, if he is for real. But I am all in favor of the Bear fans being let down again. That’s cool. I had waaaaaay too many of them try to talk trash to me today, of all days, after the Packers looked as good as they did yesterday. To have this game right in front of them for three quarters and then just melt for a whole quarter is very satisfying.
  14. This is the version of Jordan Love that was always going to be the missing piece.
  15. Man, football really ain’t football anymore, is it?
