  1. There’s the Will Levis I was promised!
  2. Reed is, to my eyes, an even better version of Randall Cobb. That seems good.
  3. I can’t complain about our trades this year, which have largely worked out quite well, but I really wish we could have upgraded the utility infield position. That would have been really huge for this team.
  4. “Kids, this is your baseball team on alcohol. Just say no.”
  5. Time to swap out Miami and Chicago with AAA teams. Relegation rules.
  6. I’m kinda hoping they stagger the off days a bit and don’t go full B-squad today. If it works and they win, I’ll be happy to be wrong, but this is still an important game and the bye is not that unachievable yet. I’m fine resting Adames and Contreras, but I’d like to see the rest of the regulars getting solid work while the game is in doubt.
  7. Like a few others here, my earliest memories of Brewers baseball were those 90’s teams. Living in Cubs vs Cards land as a young kid, those were tough seasons. It was hard to talk baseball or wear any gear without getting laughed out of the room. Since those days, I’ve always dreamed of a Brewers World Series, like any other fan. What I never dreamed would happen is that the Brewers would come to dominate the division. Too small, too poor, too unattractive to talented players and front office minds—maybe the stars would align and they’d run into a title by sheer luck like some teams do, but true organizational excellence from top to bottom allowing for multiple division titles clustered together? That never entered my wildest dreams. The postseason is an infuriating crapshoot. But one thing is for sure: the Brewers don’t suck anymore. And grade school me keeps reminding adult me to be thrilled, and so I am. At least until next month…
  8. The confetti money is in Hoskins’ paycheck for his year.
  9. And it’s Jake Bauers, cause why not?!
  10. Would someone go up there with some semblance of a plan?
  11. Can we make Williams a winner for once? Let’s freaking go
  12. Chourio is going to be glad to see these pitchers get out of town
  13. Unbelievable, Turang makes it look easy
  14. It looked pretty weak, maybe like he wasn’t sure where he wanted to throw at the last second? Something seemed weird about it.
  15. That’s about what we need from playoff Peralta. None of our starters are likely to go six full, so one-run ball against a lineup like this is just fine with me. Offense has to find a way to scratch runs across.
  16. Might only need to get him once in the postseason
  17. Way to get off the mat after last night and go take down a great opponent! Getting the first one takes a little more of the pressure off the rest of the series, but go get another one tomorrow and see what the A’s can do.
  18. Yeah, I mean, I guess you could interpret my comment that way. This reads like an explain a movie plot badly riff.
  19. Indeed. My point being, as much as I love our baby Brewers, and this offense is absolutely rejuvenated this year, I think we’re going to need a little more of the Schwarber approach sprinkled in if we’re going to get where we want to go.
  20. That is just a dang good at bat by Schwarber, a seasoned veteran of fall baseball right there. Nothing but respect for that.
