Pinch hit here?
-
13k. Need more contact

Grisham getting called out on strikes is starting to annoy. Swing the bat kid. You are in the big leagues. Guys don't walk you like they do in the minors.
-
I was wrong about picking up both Pom and Lyles. They have both helped turn this thing around since the break. Props to Stearns.
-
Pom and Hader? Whoo boy.
-
I wonder if Pom being around Hader has rubbed off a bit? He seems to be like that looks fun!!
-
Realistically which team do we want to win this game though? I mean I think our playoff odds are better if the Nats lose and we gain a game on them. But if I could choose the results I want the Cardinals to be out of the playoffs. We historically play so poorly against them I want nothing to do with them come the postseason. Ultimately if we can win the division that's the way to go so maybe Cardinals to lose for now?
-
He is. Simply because they don't have 7 better relievers. The way they continue to use him gives absolutely no indication that they don't view him as a key part of the pen, for better or worse. I'll give this a go; Hader, Guerra, Pomeranz, Claudio, Peralta, Jay Jackson, and Ray Black are all better. I think this is very close but Suter is in for sure.

Yu Darvish has struck out 11 of the 12 outs through 4 innings
-
Is Albers on the playoff roster at this point. I say no.
-
I agree. Chances are somebody isn't going to have it.
-
Albers 3-0 and boom. Figures.
-
Help out a guy sitting at his desk in California. Did Gio pinch-hit for Woodruff? is he coming in to pitch next? He pitched the third inning.
-
Has he pitched against us before? I don't believe so. I think this is first start. Maybe in relief when he first got called up last season?
-
Paddack is just as nasty as Woody.
-
Efficient effort. Nice win.
-
What happened to Dietrich from the Reds? Hitting 193? He started out hot as fire. Wow.
-
Can't get any worse of a night than Cain. Maybe give him day off tomorrow and let Gamel deal with Paddack. He's tough.
-
This is shocking. I knew it was bad but man. You gotta move on from him. It's tough being homegrown and all but enough already.
-
Love Cain but man play Gamel. Jeez.

Spangs is growing on me.

I know Grisham has always gotten on base alot by walks but he's going to have to recognize big league pitching isn't going to walk you as much. 2 strikes going to have to be more aggressive.
