  1. How do the Cards announcers know this but the brewers crew doesn't?? I'm not buying this. If anything Shaw probably feels worse than anyone for how this has gone down.
  2. Yeah, he's certainly going to be non-tendered now, but he did make 3.7M both this and last year by the Brewers waiting him out. Someone will take a shot on him next year, but it may not even be on a major league deal at this point. I wouldn't put it past them to bring him to spring training as a non roster guy. He has history and comfort here so may be willing to come back after a full off season and see if he can find his way back.
  3. Too bad about this one. This was the one to get if you ask me. Flaherty is going to good to hit and they never hit Wacha either so all of a sudden...
  4. What do you know another Karsay. In other words a leadoff walk from a reliever. Happens three or four times a game.
  5. I'm sure our crack media contingent will get this question asked.
  6. Freitas has entered Nate Orf territory. Meanwhile Nottingham hasn't had an ab since he came up. I don't get it.
  7. The more you see Spangenberg the more you miss Hiura.
  8. Counsell may think this one is over calling on Williams here first game back. Tough spot.
  9. That sand is being kicked in our faces again.
  10. Hurdle has to be gone after this year. They stink the clubhouse is a wwe backstage event and they do have talent. They are going to get swept by the cubs in my opinion. Just make sure you do the same when we play them.
  11. I for one am happy the crew is very much alive and I was of the opinion they were done a few weeks ago. That being said we have swept the Marlins who are not a good baseball team. This weekend is where we find out what they are made of. They have had sand kicked in their faces of late by the Cards and this can't happen this weekend. It's going to be tough but can be done. Win game one take getting swept off the table relax and try to win the series. If they do they have a great shot to make it happen.
  12. I'd rather see Nottingham than Frietas but hopefully Pina is back. Austin needs to play because Braun probably out. Maybe give Taylor a start and Arcia too.
  13. Braun is hurting. He knows Yelich out means they need him but if he aint right he isn't helping things.
  14. I think CC is riding his so hard because they know he isn't coming back. Kind of like they did with Sabathia when we had him, just trying to get our money out of him... Probably so. That said we have no plan for first base after the Thames option. If Grandal has to move there after next season it may give him some additional value for a longer deal.
  15. They have a mutual option for $16M with a $2.25M buyout. So it probably really comes down to whether Grandal wants that deal or not. I agree and I think the fan base would absolutely love if he’s was back with that deal. He is going to want more years for sure but if he takes that in a 3 year deal sign me up.
  16. Mets Nats Cubbies DBacks Phillies can battle it out for the wild Card with the Cardinals. We’re taking this division. The Nats have a killer schedule. They play Red sox, Braves, Mets, Indians, Phillies. They can still be caught.
