  1. Brauny just doesn't get it done to be hitting 3rd all year. In this lineup I guess you don't have a choice but man does he waste base runners.
  2. I wonder who has been the best brewers shortstop since Yount? I'm guessing JJ Hardy?
  3. Is there something we don't know as to why his boy is gone and he is sitting. Counsell doesn't love Arcia defense is what he said but why Hernan was the odd man out I am not sure. I guess they both play a ton of positions but they don't like Hernan at short.
  4. Arcia has to be watching Saladino and thinking we got rid of my boy for this guy?? It's been a slow start to say the least.
  5. I'm not certain what this is meant to suggest, but with those minutes, Brogdon was a much better player than Matthews this past year. Wes is great. He's not nearly as good of a fit as Brogdon was...but as long as we can keep Matthews numbers down, we'll be good. What it means is that Wes Matthews played more minutes than Brogdon each of the last three years. This is likely due to availability (a.k.a., injuries to Brogdon), but that's the point - Matthews has been available more. What might be implied is that, why spend $20M/year on Brogdon when you can spend a fraction of that on Matthews and Matthews has been available more than Brogdon. I agree with this. Wes has been playing a bunch despite the torn Achilles he went through. He appears to still have some juice. He won't be Brogdon but along with Pat and Sterling should give the Bucks enough to make another run.
  6. Yep. No doubt about it. The thing about Counsell is he will say we need guys to get deeper into games blah blah but then turn around and yank a guy who is crusing. It just makes no sense at all.
  7. The Brewers have been very firm in controlling Hader’s rest. There are days he’s flat out unavailable. I just don’t believe he’s ever going to be over worked. Totally agree pen arms would help the team, just has no bearing on Hader’s usage. It will if Brewers feel like he's all they have down the stretch. I am sure they are going to be careful but then again how many games will that cost us?? Hopefully Stearns makes it a mute point.
  8. True. It started with pulling Chase with 77 pitches. Braun makes a play for him and there is no trouble and he's gone. Now you have to cover at least 2+ innings just to get to Hader. Makes no sense at all.
  9. I brought up that we need some better non Hader options yesterday but was shouted down. Of course this is obvious to anyone who has watched this team for even a week but whatever. You said Hader was over worked. Two completely different things. Nope. I said if we don't add two arms we can trust he is on the road to being overworked. Most of you don't take the time to read before firing back with nonsense. No bother. What I said is a fact and tonight adds to it.
  10. I brought up that we need some better non Hader options yesterday but was shouted down. Of course this is obvious to anyone who has watched this team for even a week but whatever.
  11. It's ok ... he was just getting in his daily correction wasn't my post but you already know you are wrong again.
  12. Obviously? Because you say so?? Again the fact that you don't agree doesn't make the other point of view wrong but I think you know that since I have to correct you just about every day. Not because anyone says so, because the objective data seems to support Hader not being overused based on his ranks relative to other relievers in appearances/IP & the rarity with which he throws on consecutive days. I do not disagree with what the stats say but I do believe that if no moves are made and the stress level of the second half continues to grow the chances of having to push Hader to a level that may wear on him increase. Does anyone not agree that the Brewers need an additional high leverage option or we all good with a closer pitching twice a week and winging it the rest of the week??
  13. I also don't disagree that they could use another back end arm. But the narrative that they are overusing or misusing Hader is obviously false. Obviously? Because you say so?? Again the fact that you don't agree doesn't make the other point of view wrong but I think you know that since I have to correct you just about every day.
  14. Hader for two more innings? Albers and Jeffress unavailable? Man Hader is that dude but won't be for long at this rate. Gots to find two more trusted arms or he's toast.
  15. Thames has been a savior given what else has gone wrong. Credit to him. I thought he was the odd man out in the spring. Way to go E!!
  16. Freddy been decent in the pen. Don't get any bright ideas now Counsell. Leave him alone.
  17. Facts. It's unbelievable the amount of fake outrage you get for saying what is obvious. This team isn't very good. Doesn't mean they won't be but to date nope.
  18. If the Brewers being 5 games over and 1 game back is gross you have some crazy standards. Oh yeah I forgot they have been fantastic. In fact they are heading to the Series. Wake up bro. This team hasn't been good since the 7-1 start. Under 500 since then.
  19. Cubs getting crushed. I don't know but the best team in this division just might be the Reds top to bottom. They shouldn't even be in the conversation but the Brewers Cubs and Cards have all been gross. Reds have the best farm of all to get a player if needed too.
  20. Grandal has gone into hibernation since moving to leadoff. Cain hitting clean up while injured is ridiculous. The lineup is a mess and Yelich cold is death.
