  1. Even a HR here is hardly a knockout. Chance to take he lead, certainly. True but keep the pressure on a reeling pitcher. Gotta go for it. Almost worked for them.
  2. I don't think the issue is the offense. I think you could visit a board for just about any team and they would complain about offensive consistency. The offense scores enough runs most every night. We just don't have the arm talent to sustain success. I agree with you on this. Consistency begins and ends with the pitching. We don't have enough.
  3. Game over. Wow. This team is tough to watch night to night. You never know what you are going to get pitching wise. Hitting wise. Defense. Base running is horrendous. Frustrating team. Oakland wins 10 straight. Brewers lucky to win 3 in a row with this crew.
  4. They couldn't though. You'd need to hang Houser for a long long run without taxing the whole pen. A team with an 8 man bullpen should never have to lose a game because they are afraid of pitching shortage. Tough call.
  5. That inning is why I was afraid to let Archer off the hook. Brewers should have played to score there. Short start made it tough but you may not get the chance again.
  6. Wow. A hit makes it a one run game and we decline to make it happen? Isn't Houser on this team? I am shocked.
  7. You know that Archer can blow up at any time. All the more reason for Counsell to pull the plug faster on Chacin.
  8. Brewers way though is probably going to keep Chacin out there every 5 days because he's a great guy who works hard. These games matter. We are in June already and the guy has a very small track record of success so let's not treat him like Greg Maddux. Get Nelson into his spot.
  9. This is the kind of game the Brewers end up losing 6-5. Counsell is not good at reading these situations and stopping the bleeding fast enough. No reason to keep him out there this long. He's either hurt or stinks. Either way he shouldn't start again.
