  1. The pitching, starting and bullpen, literally couldn’t have done any better this series and at the end of the season, I’m not sure what you’ve been watching. Aside from one bad inning from Jeffress that of course cost them the game they have been spectacular. This series. Especially the young guys like Hader, Peralta, and Woodruff. This is 99% on the offense. 2 runs in the last 2 games. Yelich, Aguilar, Moustakas have all been absolutely pathetic. Cain was before today’s game too.
  2. Orlando Arcia has transformed himself into a Brewers postseason legend after a terrible regular season and I love it. Drinking tonight was a good choice.
  3. Not surprising. Besides Lindor and Ramirez, that lineup the Indians are trotting out there is pretty underwhelming. Doesn’t the AL get homefield no matter who makes it because they won the all star game?
  4. It doesn't really. Is that top-4 that much different than Blackmon/LeMahieu/Arrenado/Story? Yankees are stacked top to bottom, Boston is more top-heavy but they have the two best hitters (by a substantial margin) in the postseason, and if healthy the best pitcher. Perhaps I'm slightly biased because I find Houston to be the most loathsome organization in baseball for a variety of reasons we don't need to get into here, and would much rather lose to the Yankees (though at the same time thinking Houston gives us the best chance of winning). As somebody noted above though, this is all on paper. Anything can happen if/once we get there. Colorado’s lineup scared me but I always had the thought that they are postseason inexperienced as well as the fact they would be playing outside of the Colorado air for most of the series. Boston and New York scare me as well in addition to Houston but I still would take Houston over those 2 but that’s just my personal opinion. BOS and NYY have some terrifying hitters as well though. I personally love the Astros and was rooting for them on their run last year. I would love to watch a Brewers-Astros World Series.
  5. Altuve, Bregman, Springer don’t scare you? Did you not see what they did in the playoffs last year? Pretty sure Springer has homered in like 7 of his last 8 playoff games including today. Altuve would be better than anyone in our lineup not named Yelich (maybe even better than him), and Bregman put up a borderline MVP season this year. I’m terrified of their lineup. Edit: forgot about Correa too, he had a down season but it’s clear how deadly he can be. Eh, you can't cobble together players' best seasons, or if you do then we get 2011 Braun, 2017 Schoop, etc. The Astros are mediocre defensively and Bregman is their only superstar offensive player this season. Aside from Bregman and Altuve (having a down year) everyone else on that team in 2018 was worse than Travis Shaw. Altuve is not better than Lorenzo Cain or Yelich even factoring in that he plays 2B... *Edit* To be clear, I'm not underestimating these AL teams, we'd be the underdog against any of them. I just don't think the Astros can compete against the 2018 Red Sox or Yankees. You’re right that I’m basing some of my opinion off of past performance. I disagree about Altuve and defense aside (which he is still solid at) there is probably no hitter in the entire MLB that I would rather have over Altuve. Look at the 4 guys I named from today’s game alone: Springer - 2-5, 2 HR, 2 RBI Altuve - 2-5, RBI, 2 R Bregman - 1-2, 2 BB, 2 R Correa - 1-3, HR, 3 RBI, 2 BB You can’t tell me that lineup doesn’t scare you to go along with their pitching.
  6. I admit I was completely wrong about both Miley and Chacin, we wouldn’t have reached the playoffs without them. Anderson and Davies regressed as I predicted before the season. The rotation held up though and huge credit to Stearns for getting Chacin and Miley on such bargain deals. Hopefully Jimmy is able to reach his past form next year because if he does and if young guys like Burnes perform very well in the rotation and Chacin can maintain along with maybe rebound seasons from other starters this team should win 100+ games next year. Focus is on now though obviously
  7. Gonna be watching LA/ATL game 4 closely. Getting Kershaw to pitch game 5 would help us tremendously.
  9. Let’s see what Colorado does tonight. If they lose, we could be really close to clinching with a win tomorrow and a Colorado loss tomorrow!
  10. Just go .500 the rest of the way and they’re in. Winning tomorrow would put us really close to clinching.
  11. Sometimes guys just need a breather. Haudricourt was getting snippy on Twitter this evening with posters who were saying the same thing. Speaking of Hardricourt, I just found out I'm blocked by him on twitter. I've maybe replied to three or four things he's said and he's never once responded or interacted with me in any way. What a thin skinned reporter. I find him insufferable so I unfollowed him
  12. Thames is hot garbage right now. Ruined all the momentum with that terrible at bat
  13. Come on Aguilar how are you so slow, most pitchers probably could have scored on that
  14. Fantastic atmosphere there last night being at the game, Cubs fans were not happy. Definitely a higher percentage of Brewers fans last night compared to game 1. I was right in the center of the Let’s Go Brewers and Yelich MVP chants and glad to hear they were audible on TV. Some of their fans even the old ones still yell PEDs when Braun bats and all it takes is saying Sammy Sosa’s name to them to shut them up lol
  15. From what I remember we can never hit Montgomery so hoping for a different result especially since I’ll be at the game
  16. Cubs threw 7 or 8 straight balls and were losing composure and Shaw swings at the first strike he sees? Come on man
