  1. Is this an option for Miley by this time ?
  2. What is their plan for Miley btw? Anyone hear any chatter? Where do you put him? In this currently vacant Suter spot?
  3. 7 more W’s before ASG to get to 60 wins! 18 over on their first try!!!!! And this with missing our best all around player!!!
  4. Yeah. I agree 100 percent. This is a loss in the past. Can't forget how good Peralta was again. Thinking of trading this guy for pitching for crying out loud is nuts. Baseball experts drive me nuts. This kid is what we need. Agreed. This will be just like rookie performance of Eldred. But this time we win the division. I’ve been saying this about Peralta all along. That would be a heck of a ride! I remember how sad I was when they were eliminated I believe during the one game in Oakland. There was a picture of somebody hanging upside down by his belt loop in the dugout in the paper (not sure if it was the Racine or one of the Milwaukee papers) the next day. That was a fun race tho trying to catch Toronto.
  5. Oh stop it with that silly talk! Zag is here to fetch seeds for the pen. I really don’t know what else he’s here for lol
  6. Woooooo! Another solid win, against a solid club! Let’s not fizzle out like last weekend though. Foot, throat, and finish this series !!!!!!
  7. Ding Ding! Winner! Think you are right! This staff has surprised me all year. Watch Wilkerson go 7 strong tomorrow and continue to prove pitching doubters (me included) wrong. LOL this is true. Probably strike out 15 too.
  8. Wilkerson was stretched out at Colorado Springs. No reason he can't supply a 100-pitch effort, provided he's effective enough to make it that far. He was stretched out? Good to know. I just know he threw 3 up here the other day so wasn’t sure there. Lopez , Houser, Wilkerson, Hiugera , Chuck Crim, idk who’s in the back end day to day this year and I pay attention to all the moves lol
  9. I’m wondering if CC is penciling in Hader for 3 innings tomorrow because you can’t expect Wilkerson to go more than 4,5 tops at this point - right?
  10. Barnes HAS been good. So going to him wasn’t bad. I just think (even when soft hit or errors or walks etc) if you allow 3/4 guys in a row on, you have to pull the pin... especially a guy like Barnes who’s usually a. Unhittable or b. The lead is disappearing ... certain guys seem to let things snowball. He’s always been one of them. Usually can tell by the first batter. Jennings tho - one hell of an inning there with no room for error!
  11. I too have no issue going to Barnes. The issue is after 3 in a row got on. Jennings doing great work to the first 2 batters tho ... come on DJ.. get this last out !!!!
  12. He let him load the bases , then face another guy , AND another guy before he took him out ... 1 run game later ... on and go ahead run at second - nobody out ... brilliant CC
  13. Just checking in and so far wow! Nice start! Seems like Peralta is starting to glide now! Love this guy !
  14. Not seeing many folks even talking about Escobar. I think he would be the big 'get' of the available options, that would be truly worth trading for anyhow. I am not familiar with his D though, but his bat has been very good this year. He has a realistic shot at 55-60 doubles this year while hitting 25-30 homers. Wonder what his cost would be.
  15. LMAO i can't stop watching this!!!
  16. If Arcia and say a 15-20 range prospect for us , would get Machado, I don't think DS could sign off on that fast enough. Dubon may or may not be a flash in the pan, but you have to remember he did originally rate high in the Red Sox system as a prospect, so he may be coming around. It's time for US to get a Segura or Scooter .. lol.
  17. I now currently like what we have up the middle. And unless its an Edwin Escobar or Manny who would be a CLEAR upgrade, I don't see the point because with what we have (including Arcia) we have a mix of power, speed (Villar), grit, glamor, and defense. Once all are healthy and we have OF'ers playing in the OF, I think our big need would be a top line catcher or starter. Not that a nice piece for cheap wouldn't be great, but what is the point of a move at this point unless its a SLAM DUNK kind of guy? I think that's where my mindset is now, and I bet DS is much the same. We have a good team, and have slowly started to trim the fat, and demoted those that need work. In difference to years past, they actually are making moves that make sense for once. Minus the Zagwicki or whatever his name is. THAT is a head scratcher for so many reasons!
  18. Remember, we were told last weekend that the Brewers would no longer be in first place by Monday and we've been told all year that the Cubs are better. If you watch other teams, they don't have holes anywhere in their lineups, only the Brewers. This. Also, if you listen or read any of the National folks ..... the Seattle Mariners with something like a +25 run differential ‘will be able to sustain because good teams make their own luck’ blah blah blah. However the Brewers will fall back to earth and won’t be able to sustain. Cubs bias much? I know it is how it is. But by goodness it gets real old.
  19. Would love this too, but is it realistic?? 8-3 would be the requirement. Not impossible. The longer we can keep the current streak last the better. Win 3 more in a row and suddenly you only need to go 5-3. Play well and avoid consecutive losses. This is the optimism thread. 8-3, that’s a given. Let’s go 10-1.
  20. In their first try to get to 17 over today , they did it !!
  21. Very good win ! Could be a playoff preview with these teams. Exciting to see if we can take this series!
