  1. So we have had references to Kanye West, Kato Kaelin, and Tony LaRussa in this thread today. That my friends, is a triple play. Oh. AND Keith Olbermann thinks he has knowledge on a Brewers player. What an odd day.
  2. I think he's more valuable than Boone yet we get Boone sightings left and right.
  3. the much forgotten reliever looking strong through [*]2/3rds *the whole inning , there fixed.
  4. If they get some more runs from the top of the order, why not let Suter go six? If he is pulled after five, then there may be a need to pinch-hit for whoever relieves him. I'd rather run him out for one ore frame, and then either let him hit or pinch-hit in the bottom of the sixth. I'm afraid of him facing more of the order a 3rd time.. otherwise that is very sound logic.
  5. Or Suter throws 10mph and going through the line up multiple times creates meatball platters for hitters. Suter isn’t that good. This. Suter is of most value coming out of the pen and as a spot starter. Just my opinion. Ultimately this team will need more starting pitching whether it comes from within or via trade. I agree he is not every 5th day material. Spot and long man... no more than 2x through order for sure!
  6. An even somewhat decent , near normal Braun in the 5 hole extends this lineup.... and that may be big.
  7. That tweet is from April 11th, lol Molina had surgery to repair a testicle after a foul tip.... I'm sorry... I dont wish pain on ANYONE, EVER... but could it have happened to a better guy?
  8. Dear Brewers, We want a sweep. O K Thanks! Love, Brewer Fans - If the Brewers sweep the Cardinals, I personally, will not say a bad word about Sogard for one calendar month.
  9. In the words of Kanye West - Screams from the haters, got a nice ring to it, every superhero needs his own theme music. I don't mind being the underdog, and this team is made up of a bunch of guys that thrive on that. And no, I'm not talking about CC's adopted son who will be remained nameless because I am trying to be positive today. haha.
  10. What's funny.. is that is probably who Olbermann thinks Aguilar actually is....
  11. He's no world beater but definitely not Braun at 3b LOL-bad.... Not sure what that moron is talking about other than hating on a small market player having a good year. In fact I can remember multiple times where Aguilar's stretch over there at first helped us get an out ......
  12. exactly. without taking the series -at least-, it will be hard to shake the "there will be course corrections coming" thoughts... and as much confidence as this team may have... if we can't beat the Cards and Cubs (and even Pirates)... how far can we actually go this year? its time for a statement series!! lesssgooooo.
  13. He probably typed Asher instead of albers. Ashers been here what, 1 day? I'd say that is likely. However my point was more so I believe CC has forgotten him... like in MN .. He picked the wrong large mid 30's fella to come pitch. Maybe if one was an upside down pear like Choi he'd be able to tell them apart lol - i forgot who said that last week but I haven't been able to think about Choi without thinking about pears since....
  14. Not disappointed at all. The guy was an All-Star shut-down closer last year, and arguably the team's MVP. It wouldn't surprise me to see Jeffress and Hader continue to get multiple-inning save chances, though. Maybe just not as frequently. The way that Counsell handled the pen during Knebel's injury was masterful, so it would be a shame for them to scrap that entirely. The Crew's bullpen has the following: Knebel (9th inning/closer) Asher and Jennings (one-inning guys pitching well) Hader (Andrew Miller-type pitcher) Jeffress (multi-inning capable/closer capable) Taylor Williams (very promising K/9 ratio, multi-inning capable) Jacob Barnes (good one-inning pitcher) Knebel has the highest ERA at 5.23, but was arguably the best closer in baseball in 2017. Jennings has posted a 2.19 ERA that in most years would have people excited to see him come in - but when Asher, Hader, and Jeffress have ERAs of 1.17 or below, he's understandably seen as a letdown. Barnes went down for "struggling" to a 2.84 ERA, and Taylor Williams is pretty much the guy the Crew would call on to fill "garbage" innings - while whiffing 13.5 hitters every 9 IP. Top to bottom, a lead is extremely safe with this bunch. If the 2018 Nasty Boys aren't the best bullpen Major League Baseball has ever seen, show me who beats them. That list is good... however you're missing Matt Albers ... and just like in your list, I think he is too often overlooked (even by CC)! He is a much better pickup than Boone Logan, and who'd of thunk it?
  15. From the get go, I thought Stearns did a fantastic job in this deal. The only thing I was a little bummed about was not getting JT as part of a bigger package (but probably at a discount in a big super mega deal - a little bit of my previous OOTP managing coming out there.. lol) - but let's be honest.... Yelich is not a rental or even a couple year player... be becomes a cornerstone of this team. He's young and I believe only going to get better. If a couple of those guys end up ok (the only one I really was high on personally was Diaz), I think we would still make that trade 100 times over! I think as I've seen stated before, we over value our own prospects to some respect... but even doing so here, Yelich's don't grow on trees. I am much happier with him than Ozuna, as Yelich fits the mold we want to go towards, less K more OB%.
  16. That's playoff team WAR combos there....
  17. lets go boys. THESE are the games we need to win especially, knock the NL Central monkey off our backs!
  18. Just tuning into the fun today. Couple things from my random check ins today: 1. These games are the games the Brewers typically have lost in the past. The bounce back off the mat of this team has been amazing inning to inning this year. 2. Sogard... why why .. still blah. My feelings are known on him. 3. Aguilar... Cain, Yelich... when these 3 are going .. my goodness 4. I wish CC would revert to no specific closer - Knebel showing some rust still but overall this pen is the best pen we’ve ever seen 5. Boone - still don’t see the overall value in him on this team and gave another homer today after I thought he was turning a corner 6. We have little things to work on and solidify ... but we are off to an amazing start and really really really need to win this St Louis series to I believe get this teams confidence up vs the rest the NL Central. Now is the time to put the pedal to the metal cause we know we will slump at some time and the others will get hot. The more distance we can get built here , the better !
  19. I still dislike Sogard. Bring me some Orf for spot # 25 !!!
  20. The Brewers are 32-11 when they score. Going on 33-11. [sarcasm]What’s their record when they don’t?[/sarcasm]
