  1. I don't see any downside to that. Saladino is playing great, while Arcia has been among the least valuable players in baseball this year. If the Brewers are going to make a serious run this year, I don't think Saladino is the answer, but Arcia doesn't deserve to play ahead of him right now. And a trip to the minors could spark a change for the better. If the Brewers are going to make a serious run this year, Arcia needs to be hitting and playing solid SS. I am starting to come around to the idea that a couple weeks to a month in Colorado Springs might be the key to doing that. If he can go down to AAA, and rediscover his stroke and more importantly, his plate discipline, he can hopefully come back up in July and be the SS the team is going to need. I agree 100% but I don't think that is very likely, unfortunately. Just doesn't seem like a Brewers move, even if it's a no brainer! He really does need that sort of wake up call though, I believe. Up there he looks so lost, he's moving his feet all over with every pitch. Just looks super uncomfortable. Defensively , yes, he is a STUD. But, to be a playoff team, can you have a Pina hitting around .200 with the occasional pop, Arcia trying hard to get under .200, and a pitcher at the bottom of the order?
  2. I like being the underdog. It's much more fun that way. However, if you look at our record vs. the NL Central, you will see we have lots of work to do still - and you can see why projections are not on our side still even with the good start. Our losses have been against the teams we will play most our games against.
  3. As sad as it may sound... the player I would want most from Texas would be Bartolo Colon actually. He seems to turn it on at all the right times, and would easily outhit Arcia and Pina... lol. But seriously how fun would he be as the long guy/spot starter down the stretch. He's literally been everywhere and in every situation. Could get him for a song too.
  4. Optimism thread ... I have nothing to add right now ... the couple of guys I’ve beat up on in the last 24 hours had good games... I have no words right now and it’s a beautiful thing. Best start through 50 games ... ever for the Brewers. Think of all the good teams (or good starts we have had at any rate). That’s special.
  5. I forgot Braun was still on this team ...
  6. No, we won't. Never forget. not cool man... not cool...
  7. Perhaps it's because he is coming in and immediately throwing different stuff than what hitters are used to from the team's other pitchers? I have been skeptical of Suter as a starter (while always believing he can be a useful MLB pitcher), but he has proven me wrong consistently. How about I remain skeptical and hope he keeps making me look like a fool? Same boat... I just... I don't know... it feels like he's always on the verge of imploding. Then always makes me look like an idiot! This team may be special... when the guys we pin to the wall either get replaced or demoted.... and the ones we pick on next start producing. I think thats the making of a special team. I've been a die hard Brewers fan my whole life... back to the late 80s... so believe me... I've seen some things. haha.
  8. Boone Logan.. still don't think he belongs on the team! haha.
  9. You know what i really like right now? Those shadows are about an inning from getting to the plate there... lets pile on for now!!
  10. Bandy got a hit. after a walk today. He really wants to get out of our BF timeout chair.
  11. If what they needed was to not score any runs in the 3rd, then you are correct Ugh I'm sorry.. I just can't get excited... or NOT be negative with the trash he throws up there... it's like when Doug Jones was our CLOSER.... Oh LAAAAWD.
  12. Suter is just what the DBacks needed! You're welcome guys!
  13. nevermind. Suter the one man slump buster in full effect lol.
  14. I've laughed about 4 times at this thread already. Gonna be a good day, tater. Choi is a pear.
