Hey guys - haven't been able to tune in to the game today, just check in here and on mlb... what is the deal with Woodruff's control today? Getting squeezed or just plain missing spots? Nice to see the bats swinging well..... and Alberts and Jennings getting outs that may have been better served last nig..... oh nevermind haha.

Braun turned 34 in November. I'm not sure when the "steroid era" ended, but ESPN's sort engine goes back to 2000. from 2000-2010, there were 40-some players a year that were 34 or older, getting 300+ PA/year. Since 2011, there are 20-some guys per year who are 34 or older getting 300+ PA/year, and only around 10 of them post a WAR of 2 or greater. Whenever a team signs a player to a contract into their mid-30's, they are betting against the odds. It's not a matter of if, but when the player will hit the wall. Braun has been pretty much untradeable for a while now, so all we can do is hope that he can stay reasonably productive for as long as possible. Oh, and we can stop signing players to big contracts that take them into their mid-30's. Yes!!!! Although if all teams continued to do this more the players would continue to scream collusion.... even tho its perfectly smart logic!

Logan had a 4.71 ERA last year .. maybe I’m missing why he comes in and takes innings from guys who have shown they can actually get outs ...

Not surprised about Cano really. Seattle should be contacted to see if they'd like Braun to go with Cano and Dee Gordon.... smh. -
I'd love to see this, and think it would be a great idea. Bring Choi up to give Jesus a breather vs a righty and have a good lefty bat off the bench.

What a great explanation of what we saw. The fact he can hide the ball that much longer and "throw" it from that much closer than most pitchers.... makes you excited to be a Brewers fan... cause that wasn't a pitcher debuting vs the Reds, that was a good hitting team in a good hitters park... and they had trouble picking up his pitches. Not holding by breath, but we might be on to something... and the pure joy in his interviews... hard to not root for the kid - love that!!

No. He's a younger and right handed hitting Sogard. He's fine in a utility role as a replacement for Sogard. But no you don't want him starting more than once a week max. Yea, I wasn't sure, his numbers havent been so bad before last year, so was curious what everyone else thought. It's nice to see Pina kick up again and show some life.... and Arcia has been going up the middle more now.... just seems like 2B will continue to be the black hole where hits go to die .... lol

Do you guys think Saladino can be an option at 2b? He seems to perform how we wish a backup with ML experience would perform for us... or do you guys believe he would crater if given extended time at 2b? He seems to have a good glove, and him and Arcia up the middle may be fun to watch... Perez seems best suited as a super sub , plug in now and then all over.

Watching Peralta pitch today was fun. You can see a little of how he loses it a little here and there control wise but I really do think that is him trying to nibble and be too cute. But once he went back to attacking he found out that the hitters really do have a tough time picking up the ball out of his hand and he had success again. They need to just keep enstilled in him to pound the zone because whatever he does to conceal the release point sure did make some really good hitters look silly today , and I hope and pray that carries over and we really do have a Sheets quality player (with potential to not break down as fast as a non ‘power’ piarcher) cause man oh man that would be such a good thing and as a life long fan, super fun to watch!

I can dream right? Perhaps he should get his vision checked though for real. Not sure if he has , but it just seems he doesn’t see the ball well at all anymore. When he does see it he hits it hard... not to make excuses for him... but just a thought You sound like Rock. Oh lord that does sound Rockian.... Braun look what you’ve done to us....

Im a little weird, but I consider 1-0, 2-1, and 3-2 to be even since the amount remaining to the walk/strikeout result is the same. Further true statements that make break even pitch at 1-1 even more annoying to me lol

If only. With Braun's contract, he's not going to see any less playing time. Not saying it's right, but that's how it works. I can dream right?
