  1. By my count we are 5-1 in Down to the wire games. SF, CIn, Zona, and today all felt like we were very fortunate to pull them out although to be fair many games like today we were in control and just let teams get the edge on us late. Getting the bye is bigger than I would have said a few weeks ago, we need it big time
  2. If Cook is back next week is going to b really tough. Hopefully cowboys lose. Can’t remember last time a win felt this empty.
  3. Happy to get the win but man feels like we are being slowly exposed. Praying for at least Jaire to get back.
  4. This is a loss. Total meltdown
  5. It’s literally the same game every week
  6. It’s a hot take in game but there are a lot of things not going well as we approach the playoffs. Soft d and banged up oline with no guarantee of reinforcements.
  7. I was thinking when was the last time we blew up a trick play? Never
  8. A sack or a big loss almost always ends our drives, a product of a turnover adverse offense I guess but really is an Achilles heal considering the state of the Oline.
  9. Only out softed by the run D. Not sure why Cleveland isn’t running every play, we are overmatched there.
  10. All 3 were bad throws too in the middle of a half of moving the ball at will. Another reminder just how lucky we are with #12.
  11. Boy that was awful, why are 53 and 40 together on the edge so much?
  12. Yes and had some fortunate no calls by the refs on the 2 drives we stopped. They are getting big chunk plays with ease.
  13. I mean take the timeout to get another look if you want but why throw the challenge?
  14. Who had Lazard in the record breaking pool? Not me..
  15. I would guess if it was 4th and 1 or 2 they would have gone for it again. Just not on 4th and 5 with no threat of a run. Yeah I know just commenting on the risk/reward of the previous 4th down.
  16. That’s why being aggressive like that makes little sense, you punt 4 plays later and was it worth the risk?
  17. Feels like we are back to the defense being a weakness again as we head into the playoffs.
  18. I am a little nervous about this one for some reason, the Browns have a bad O but our defense has been trending down. Packer radio guys all predicting a blowout so maybe I just don’t know enough about the Browns.
  19. The Lions have to be the least successful pro franchise in North America. I always thought Sanders was a bit of a coach killer, those big losses he took dancing around were like sacks. Just looked out of curiosity and their QB in that one playoff win was Erik Kramer lol. Caldwell was a victim of expectations, will be interesting to see with the Rams if it is just the Lions or if Stafford is a loser.
  20. Often these coaches in both sports win COY because they surprise everyone and have success. I have a feeling Belichick in NE will win it this year. Fontes got the Lions to the NFC championship game, that pretty much makes him the front runner for coach of the entire 90’s decade. Who has ever done more with less?
  21. Even if that is what he meant the 0% chance after nearly a year is plenty of reason for concern. I guess if they hadn’t sort of hidden the surgery for a few weeks I would have more confidence they were just being careful. We really need him back, with what we throwing out there a good front 4 will kill us in the playoffs.
  22. Bakhtiari out of practice again this week. MLF says they are unloading him whatever that means, I would guess it means another setback and am starting to worry we won’t see him this year.
  23. No, Dallas has a better conference record than the Pack does, so they’d be the 1 if they finish with the same record. We’re big Cardinals fans in a couple of weeks when they play head to head. Yeah Dallas would be in drivers seat had we blown that one yesterday and I think now are the only team that could pass us at 13-4. But have to like the odds on either Packers winning out or Dallas losing one. Yesterday was a good day. For MVP I think Rodgers gets it if they get the bye but of course needs a good statistical finish as well. It will be close though and maybe the COVID thing loses him some votes.
  24. The 4th down call - there were 12 minutes left and they were down two scores. After GB kicks a FG they were still down two scores and there was 9:30 left. If they punt and GB goes down the field like they had all game long, they might end up being down two scores with something like 4 minutes left. Yes, that was a similar call to that play in the recent Viking-Detroit game that was debated here. Packers have to get the TD to make them pay and they didn't.
  25. I thought both the go for it at the 29 and the 2 point conversion were at least arguable but there has to be some nuance in the aggressive play calling. Rodgers would have likely gotten the pack in FG range either way so we would have sweated it out with Crosby. Of course we would have probably started at the 5 after some ST blunder.
