  1. If only Yuni concentrated 1/4 as much on improving his approach at the plate and defensive play as he cares about what his pant legs look like, he'd be an all-star.
  2. Yuni didn't even look towards home to see if he could possibly get the runner out from 3rd. He was going to 1st no matter what.
  3. This team is garbage right now. Every facet. Not even fun to watch.
  4. Just proves...this is not a very good team. There are several very good players on this team and 2 great players, but the overall makeup of this roster is pretty poor.
  5. And, no offense, the Cubs spend like a big market team but get the same results as a minimalist spending small market team. I'd rather be a small market team behaving like the big market teams. It's about how smart you are making moves and scouting talent (see Jim Hendry and Soriano, Zambrano, Fukodome, etc.) and whose team really is in the 3-5 year rebuilding phase as a result of a GMs moves...
  6. Jesus really? Just because we are in first is no excuse for not maximizing our talent. The decisions Ron and Doug have made have cost us games. Well said. The season may not be "over" but seeing the same poor managerial decisions being made over and over as well as the poor defensive play, clear holes in the lineup, and atrocious road play can lead one to believe that we can just expect to keep seeing more of the same. More of the same = season over.
  7. As per usual expect RR's usual "Kam had a tough day but I still like him as my 8th inning guy."
  8. All because Loe pitched well in Spring training...idiot RR. He's as stubborn as Yost.
  9. I'm ready for RR's post-game quote as per usual: "Kam had a tough day but I still like him in the 8th inning." How many "tough" days does one guy have to endure before it can be perceived as a trend? He's too Scocia in that they stick with guys too long to a fault when they're struggling...
  10. This isnt a "knee jerk" reaction, I actually thought it out long and hard before posting: This team is like a scared puppy with his tail between his legs when it plays on the road. It's either poor focus or they're mental midgits. With their home/road records as they are, what other explanation is there?
  11. Spoken like a true small market fan with low expectations...
  12. They probably would but most guys don't have any minor league options left.
  13. This team is hot garbage on the road. Enjoy second place again...
  14. How many hundred million dollars do you want Prince? Get used to DHing my friend.
  15. Why the heck does Gallardo nibble so much around the plate to mediocre players? Frustrating.
  16. This organization is starting to piss me off. They're loyal to a fault. Keeping struggling players on the team and in the lineup (McGehee, Kotsay, Betancourt) when they should be on the bench or off the team. You have Green and Gamel tearing the cover off the ball in Nashville and they keep running these underachieving jokers out there. Do they want to win games or worry about hurting people's feelings? This is the major leagues, grow a pair.
  17. Can't wait to see the statheads give us his K/Bb ratio and tell us how great of a pitcher he is. Except they fail to look at every other stat from him and realize he's getting rocked this year. Ok, now I'm out.
  18. I'm joining ya. Enjoy the rest of the blowout, boys. I'm not wasting the next 2 hours of my life on these road losers.
