  1. I heard Rock on 540am ESPN radio today and said they had flight complications upon arriving at Milwaukee and got home at 4am.
  2. Not feeling very confident with the bottom of the order due up vs. K-Rod in the 9th. But we did pull a rabbit out of our hats vs. FLA's Nunez (no Braun waiting to PH this time though).
  3. Who else is happy that he didn't take that extension? Me! I have never liked him even when he was doing good last year. Way too slow, no defense, and no history to back his now fluke year in 2010. Yup. Its like getting a free do-over card and the ability to look elsewhere for the 3B of the future.
  4. Who else is happy that he didn't take that extension?
  5. I have no doubt that Melvin will trade for bench help at the deadline. The problem is RR loves Kotsay so much he will still be the first player he would choose to use in a clutch situation. What we need more than anything is a power threat, Bob Hamlin type (not joking) who can step up in a game late in the season/playoffs and provide a long ball on occasion (and no, Josh Wilson won't cut it there).
  6. When they panned out and showed the entire ballpark I was floored with how vacant the stadium is. I was embarrassed for the Marlins players who see many of their opponent's parks in smaller markets packed (like Milwaukee) and makes me upset that this team won 2 World Series in the not-to-distant past. They don't deserve a successful baseball team in Miami. How can a home player feel motivated to play in an empty stadium? They shouldn't even have a team there.
  7. It's basically the worst kind of pitcher a Brewer can face. A guy who pumps the outside corner and adds low and away sliders. All Brewers players for the last 10 years seemingly love to swing at that pitch that they have no prayer of making contact.
  8. Not feeling too good about tomorrow's matchup with Sanchez going vs. our #5 (and most likely Nieves catching). But I think Zack gets the W on Monday to make it a 4-3 trip.
  9. Great pitch by the Ax there. Let's get a DP and call it a day.
  10. Don't worry Prince, you'll be DH'ing soon in the AL.
  11. I want no part of a Wes Helms pinch hit appearance this inning. The guy always seems to kill us.
  12. I'm hoping for a few Badger Mutual insurance runs so that Ax isn't needed.
  13. Can't wait until Saito comes back. Loe is no 8th inning guy. For whatever reason, RR loves this guy.
  14. I completely agree with the second part. CB has been on the manager crap list for years. I can think of a few really bad umps, but I can't think of one worse than CB.Without saying it, I think there's one key reason why he won't be losing his job anytime soon. Hint: nobody wants Jesse Jackson posted up outside Commissioner Selig's office with picket signs.
  15. If we have any chance of winning, we better get the lead before the 9th because no way Nunez blows 2 save opportunities in a row.
  16. Yeah and the rare time I am rooting for the Cubs, they lose the first two games of the STL series. Baseball gods know it's against my principles.
  17. Summer ShandyGood choices all. I'm going for the Corona in honor of the ethnicity of our starting pitcher today.
  18. Yuni dove for a ball? I think I just saw a pig fly by my window.
  19. Let's hope Yo is attacking hitters tonight and getting in front of them with favorable counts. What's your beer of choice this evening?
  20. After Ryan Braun signed his long-term contract extension ensuring he would be a Brewer for a very long time, it got me to thinking...if he can keep up his current statistical pace for years to come, could we be watching the player we end up calling the "best" player to ever wear a Milwaukee Brewers uniform? I'd like to hear your opinions. Trust me, I know MVP Robin Yount, who is a career Brewer will surely be a tough person to ever pass, but say Braun leads this team to a World Series and racks up an MVP or two, could we very well end up considering him the best?
