  1. I second the wishing we get no-hit thing. This team has been riding high and using the "we're in first place" line too often lately irregardless of the fact we're 10-19 since the 24-10 start. This would definitely serve as a wakeup call. The next time the Brewers would use the "we're okay, we're still in 1st line," the reporter could say, 'yeah but you just got no-hit.' The Tigers announcers just said, and I quote, "you've seen a lot of AB's from the Brewers tonight where the batters looked like they're not taking major league swings." I would agree.
  2. Verlander's no hit bid is in the corner of the ESPNews ticker, he'll lose it in the 7th Why does it seem like tons of pitchers have their 'best stuff' against our team? I think it's more than coincidence. I think our overanxious, not-able-to-hit-an-offspeed-pitch hitters help the cause A LOT. Edit: Well, 3 runs should be way more than enough. At this point, I'm kind of rooting for the no-hitter. I have never watched a full game no-hitter before.
  3. Wow are we pathetic. We sure do a good job of NOT looking like a first place team.
  4. 0-4, 3 K's between Ned's 1-2. Can anyone find a lineup with 2 of the worst players on a team hitting first and second like Ned sets this up? It is ridiculous. And can someone please buy Gabe Gross a ticket to Nashville? He's certainly not getting the job done. Get someone up here who can hit.
  5. I also very much like the idea of giving Ned a day off to watch the game (or a series) from a luxury box. Oh don't stop there. How about a summer vacation? Just take the summer off Ned, you deserve it.
  6. Why is it that the opposing pitcher always seems to get through the Brewers lineup so easily, but it seems like pulling teeth for us to get 3 outs?
  7. I see the real JJ Hardy is starting to show now. Whoever was fooled by his .300+ BA earlier must be awfully disappointed now. His history has shown him to be more along the lines of a .250-.260 hitter. He'll end up somewhere in between there in my opinion.
  8. This is really a sign of a not-so-good team. Key time in the ballgame you have your 4-5-6 guys coming up with a guy on 2nd with no outs. and you can't move the guy to 3rd for the possibilty of a sac fly run. That would be the bare minimum. This has the making for a loss, for sure. And brace yourselves for this Yost quote after the game. "Coco is human. We're confident when he comes in. He'll bounce back."
  9. Atta Boy Brauny. WHAT CAN BRAUN DO FOR YOU?
  10. My sick feeling has materialized to reality. Byrd has been like an MVP this series so him hitting here definitely made me very nervous. You know people in TX right now are saying "here's the Coco we all knew."
  11. Graffy and Counsell with 3 hits each tonight?? I had to pinch myself real quickly to make sure I wasn't just dreaming this.
  12. Why am I feeling a little uneasy with Coco marching back out there in the 9th? Something about him in Texas kind of scares me.
  13. That Braun guy's defense sure is terrible. Was it a diving play or something? I see the little red dot on the MLB gameday was right where Hardy is playing. I've noticed Braun likes going to his left to steal some balls from the SS. It's a tough angle to throw at when you're throwing across your body to 1B.
  14. Counsey with a bomb? It's too warm out for hell to be freezing over like this. Anyone else watching ESPN? Enjoying this Cubs blown lead like me? Gotta love "Dumpster".
  15. MIL 14 to TEX 6 in hits per team. If we don't win this one, it's a darn shame.
  16. 2 HBPs in a row?? I don't think I've ever seen that before. Too bad I can't 'see' it with my own eyes. We need to get greedy here...more runs!!!
  17. Alright, this is Jenks' time here. We'll see what he's made of vs. a tough lefty.
  18. I am going to predict the Brewers win this game 15-9 The way we've been hitting lately, I'll take 1/3 of 15 runs.
  19. This team is becoming so sickening to me. Thank God I can't witness this on live tv. Dave Bush is easily the player that frustrates me most on this team. His mental lapses and big-run innings are becoming quite expected and I am waiting for Gallardo to take his spot in the rotation ASAP. Edit: Sadly, this game may be over before we even take our second ABs. Bases loaded 0 outs.
  20. This is the type of game that can kill a team for the rest of the season. No doubt in my mind. As if things aren't going bad already, we're playing a horrible team and we cough this one up. People may say I'm overstating things, but if this kills Coco's psyche and he starts a downward slide, we are toast.
  21. Okay. Sheets got the shaft here. Coco and Texas just don't mesh. You know it's mental when these hits are all coming when counts are 0-2 and they produce. Edit: Unreal.
  22. Excellent, dominating outing by T-Bow. Very nice.
  23. That's fair enough. I can't disagree with the point about Gross having a decent eye at the plate. Thus, he's a perfect pinch hitter late in ballgames. A guy who possibly could provide some punch and more often than not, put together at least a decent AB. I guess I fall in the category of not liking the guy very much because I enjoy watching TGJ play. I like his punch-and-run style, his defense, and his ability to cause havoc on the base paths.
