  1. Rickie Weeks, Gagne, Riske, Counsell, Hall...they're worse than Hart and on the same team.
  2. All of the other Wild Card contenders are losing right now. Think we can take advantage of it?
  3. Hardy is absolutely clueless up there. His first two swings were horribly bad. He's a prime example of a hitter "getting himself out."
  4. crewcrazy...if it's just an aesthetic change, then why do it? It's like putting lipstick on a pig. Sveum, of course, is the lipstick.
  5. Cubs are going to win the World Series. Put me on record now. They're too good not to.
  6. Eesh...sorry...make that 7 K's thru 3 innings. Good ol' Brewers. They're horrible.
  7. 6 K's in 2 2/3 innings. Ha. Yost must be laughing from his couch. Lot has changed under the Sveum/Yount regime huh?
  8. The Cubs are so much better than the Brewers it's laughable.
  9. At this point, what is the difference between starting Weeks or Cameron in the leadoff spot? 5 percentage points in OBP?? Give me a break. Mix it up -- it can't hurt anything.
  10. Yount would probably pull a Simba and not take the job next year out of loyalty to Sveum. Where are the rumors coming from that suggest Attanasio wanted Ned gone 2 years ago?
  11. So much for the "controlling your own destiny" thing.
  12. Haha you guys sound surprised they're about to lose AGAIN. This team is garbage. No heart whatsoever. Frankly, when I saw we had a 4 game lead on the Phills and were going to their park, I fully expected a sweep. The way we've been hitting, how could we not lose games? This upcoming Cubs series should be the dagger in the Brewers' hearts. Like I said, I would pay 1K to be able to sit and watch this game with Mark Attanasio. I want to see what his thoughts are on this "investment." Heads will be rollin' in the Brew City. Thank God for the Packers.
  13. Rivera's rear end is glued to the bench.
  14. Put it this way, I'd rather have the Astros and Phillies schedule to play than ours the rest of the way out. The Brewers just are playing tight right now and are showing their true colors. The thing I can envision is tying one of those teams and having to play a one-game playoff in their ballpark. That scares me. I know at this point we wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell even coming within a few runs of winning a one game "playoff."
  15. Well the good thing about laying an egg is he will be gone for sure. There is no way Attanasio will sit on his hands this off-season. The only question in my mind is whether Doug will be shown the door as well. He gave these guys plenty of time to turn this organization around and missing the playoffs in the fashion they are this season will put him over the edge.
  16. Hey, I thought that first game was a "must win??" Hmm...this team is horrible. No guts at all. Blow up this roster. I would love to be sitting with Mark Attanasio watching these games and wondering what he's thinking. I could care less about this second game it's a joke anyways...on that note...GO PACK GO!!!
  17. I believe Parra is just mentally weak. That's probably why Prince got in his face in the dugout. This team is a total joke and it needs to be blown up because this batting order is all or none HR or bust. Look at the Cubs...they can actually manufacture runs by getting multiple base hits in a row. This team is just a bunch of chokers.
  18. It's a 3 game lead by default. Talk to me after the Phillies series and we'll see if that's still the case. If we can't win series vs. the Padres and Reds how will we fare against playoff contenders??
  19. McClung is a useless piece of dung. Riske and Gagne too.
  20. Living in Chicago, Kasper is the most annoying person I watch on TV. He keeps an eye so closely on Brewers games that by the time my feed on MLBTV of Brewers games comes on and a scoring play occurs, he's already reporting it on Cubs broadcasts! It's like he has gamecast on for Brewers games just waiting...annoying! Great clutch hit by Durham but man alive, is Braun ever struggling at the plate.
  21. Theblingster...I'm watching too hanging on every pitch even when I'm so frustrated with the lack of production from this team. What I'm disheartened about is the solid devotion from this fanbase this year potentially witnessing back-to-back years of end of the season collapses. They do not deserve this and even though I know every player on the team wants to win more than anything, it doesn't discount the choking that we've been witnessing lately and they have no one but themselves to blame if indeed the wheels come off this year.
  22. It's a collapse because they have not seized on an opportunity to put this wild card away. They have "collapsed" by losing...after today...7 of 9 games (at home) and against not so stellar teams. It is a collapse because at the time of the year that hitting and timely pitching is an absolute necessity, they're barely getting more than one hit against AAA pitchers. I'm not the only one who sees the writing on the wall here especially when you see teams like the Mets, Phillies, and Astros playing like gangbusters right behind us.
  23. Gutless. Choke job. Collapse. Your 2008 Milwaukee Brewers.
  24. If this collapse does indeed happen, next year's attendance will NOT reach 3 million, that's for sure. Ned Yost will not be with this team. The lineup will have to be tweaked and a new leadoff hitter will be needed. Finally, this fan base will take a severe blow to the groin when/if they 1) fail to make the playoffs and 2) fail to resign CC or Sheets. I am not in the camp of signing either because Sheets is a walking injury bug and CC will not be worth the money he will be getting in the final 3-4 years out of his new deal. But for the short term, this team will be hard pressed to muster up winter support. And finally, Mark Attanasio would have insomnia for at least 2 weeks.
  25. I hate to say it but this is setting up for a tremendously bad disappointment of a season. Acquiring CC was supposed to boost us to the promised land and while he has been northing short of spac-tacular (as Bill Schroeder would say), this team looks like a dud. The worst part is I could see this collapse take shape when they face the Phillies on the road and lose at least 3 of those 4. Mark my words, if this ends up being a cat and mouse game and we're the cat eventually, we're toast and so is Yost. Remember we do have to face the Cubs 6 more times and after the last 4 game set with them, I see nothing but doom and gloom.
