  1. Coco and Villanueva are in the 'pen warming up as we speak.
  2. It seems like lately all of Ned's moves have been working out in our favor. I get the sense that bringing in T-Bow here was a move that foreshadows a run or two this inning.
  3. Man oh man....Rickie sure is struggling right now. It's like we all expect a pop out. In all fairness, he got decent wood on that last one but still he needs to produce more hits.
  4. Shousey did a good job that inning vs. all righties. I'm even happier that Bergmann is out. So you're tellin' me there's a chance...
  5. Yeah I don't get a good feeling about this game. We can't seem to put anything together against this pitcher. His ERA on the year seems to be a pretty accurate reflection of his pitching performance today. He has some good stuff. JJ may be kissing his hitting streak goodbye too.
  6. Watching the Nats feed on MLB.TV....Rickie sure made a nice play there to end the inning. Kind of a "look what I found" effort but sure enough a nice play altogether.
  7. How dare Cordero give up a run. We need a new closer. 13 games over!!! Life is good.
  8. It doesn't matter. Barring an injury, he's not coming up to the Milwaukee team anytime soon so it should be a moot point. Melvin and Co. seem to be in the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it camp" right now so they'll let this winning ride out a little before making any unnecessary moves. I believe our first 4 game losing streak due to the lack of hitting or scoring runs should be enough to tempt them to bring Braun up.
  9. I'll be there to watch 'my boy' Sheetsie go against Armas. $1 dogs and awesome seats...what more could I want? How bout another Brewers win. Now that we're 10 over, why not go for 11...12...13....it's time to get greedy!
  10. I love blowout wins Because everyone has fun Let's do it again!
  11. How Will I Complain If I Have To Write Haiku Oh Brian Screw You http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  12. It happens. The Brewers will learn from this loss. What lessons will they learn from this loss? Not to give up a 4 run inning and back-to-back jacks? We just got beat today; not too much you can take away from this one. I'm not going to harp on this, but I really think games like these highlight the lack of consistent offense this team is demonstrating thus far. When you have a big bat like Braun's spoiling away in AAA and could essentially shore up the weakest production spot in the order by position, why not look into doing it? Like someone said, we're winning games so they're hesitant to make changes, but there's always room for improvement when it comes to hitting.
  13. I forgot what it felt like to lose. It feels like it's been so long. I don't like the feeling at all. Note: I'm writing this before our last AB's to reverse jinx us http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. erockdahizzo, welcome to the board (I see you have 2 total posts). Before these other guys corrupt you, let me be the first to say I am the voice of reason on this board. rluzinski and brewers77 will surely agree with that.
  15. Okay, Hall's approach is magnificent. Now what sounds more unrealistic...the statement above or my first post?
  16. Hey Brewers77....Did I ever say Hall should sit??? Go back, re-read my post and then let me know. I'm not a constant complainer. Some of you guys on here are funny. If someone says something remotely negative on here you jump on him like he's the devil! Take your Brewers goggles off once in awhile, put down your Brewers kool-aid, and take off your homer hat! Analyze players for what they do on the field every so often and not how they sit in your hearts.
  17. I am baffled at Hall's approach lately at the plate. I always go to battle for guys like Estrada who put the ball and not K a lot because it really is an indicator of how one is seeing the ball up there. If Billy Hall was like Estrada, taking the ball the other way and getting good wood on the bat and still making outs, I could live with that. But the fact he is swinging through fastballs and looking sick up there is not sitting well with me.
  18. Well Reyes is dealin' today! 5 K's thru 3 w/o a base hit given up yet. Let's hope CV brings with him some of that Cubbies performance from last Monday!
  19. Big bruise time...hope nothing serious though.
  20. I caught a little bit of the 9:30 Baseball Tonight with Kruk and Fernando Vina and was disappointed they didn't give the Brewers any credit whatsoever. They talked about the difficulty of playing thru these circumstances for the Cards and basically said they understand why they're losing. Come on! Why can't they just give the Brewers a little love too....we just put 12 runs on the board, man! It's not like it was a mental error that cost them a 2-1 loss or something.
  21. Anyone else for Elmer in the 9th? Absolutely. It's about the only time I want to see him pitch (9 run lead or more!) Notice no blue....I had to sit in person in the 35 degrees Cubs game last Wednesday at Wrigley watching him get shelled, giving me the right to be that harsh.
  22. Sheets waited back nicely on that curveball. He must do pretty well on those 'drive the ball up the middle' drills. Great piece of hitting from Rickie there too. I've been waiting for him to start swinging the bat well consistently. If we can get him up into the .275-.280 range it would be huge for this offense.
  23. Ned Yost has been a fantastic manager so far this year Heathen!!!
  24. We finally got to him. Things are starting to turn the Brewers way! Let's keep adding them on now!!
  25. Is Looper really this good? He's Jose Capellan (2-pitch pitcher). How is he that difficult to hit??
