  1. And right after Rivera gets hit, Cirillo with a first pitch popup. Dumb, dumb, dumb. It's not meant to be our game. It seems like they find ways to lose games on the road. We get all these new players on our team from trades but we're still the same team when it comes to these dang road games. I can't figure it out.
  2. great. rivera hit. welcome back moeller. just great. Are you kidding? Where was he hit? Was it bad?
  3. Clark is PHing for Nix vs the LHP. Mitre is a RHP though.
  4. Wait...why is Clark pinch hitting for Nix?
  5. Is it just me or does Corey ((and a lot of the brewers...)) seem to swing at the first pitch a lot? I actually think it's quite the opposite. In my view, they look at too many pitches and get themselves down in the count and have to go at it with 2 strikes on them. With a strikeout prone team like Milwaukee, you want them hacking early. Early in the year, I noticed when Weeks was healthy, I only saw him swing at a first pitch ONE time. He would let a fastball go right past him that he could've jacked. I don't care if he's the leadoff guy...a meatball is a meatball...swing the bat!
  6. Mike Rivera seems to get a hit or two every game he's in. I guess his arm was bad enough to keep him in AAA for all these years. I have a soft spot for a backstop who can hit (seeing as though we haven't had one in a long time). He's welcome back next year as far as I am concerned. I hope he works on his arm and accuracy this off-season. He could be a #1 easily if that comes around.
  7. Please don't tell me Brian Moehler and his 6.16 ERA are going to own us the rest of the game. Just when we thought we were through with frustrating Moeller's we get a wise guy who changes the spelling of the last name to try and slip under the radar to kill our team.
  8. Yes, we at home can understand this. But Ned is right there in the ballpark and still can't figure it out. Bush should have been removed two batters and three runs ago. Yeah I guess if he doesn't have his good stuff, it should be apparent and you may consider pulling him for Helling or Gonzalez. I guess the drawback to making Bush's outing tonight short would be us debating in 2-3 days why Ned Yost is pulling Bush out of the bullpen to make late-inning appearances like he has done in the past with Bush after quick outings.
  9. Is every first pitch a meatball?? They're hacking away at it and he's getting absolutely rocked!
  10. Dave Bush is one of those pitchers who you never know what you'll get out of from game to game. One game he could look like an all-star and be virtually untouchable and the next he may make you wonder, how the heck is he in our rotation? Frustating.
  11. If you don't have that confidence you may as well retire. All we can do is pray that Jenkins believes this and decides to retire. GOOD WIN though...bring out the brooms tomorrow!
  12. I can't name specific games that Jenkins has blown because it's not as readily apparent as a blown save where a pitcher hangs his head and walks to the dugout in front of a 40,000+ crowd in shame. But Jenkins presence in the 3-hole and anywhere in our lineup for that matter, has no doubt cost us games. The amount, I have no idea. All I can say is he has been nothing but dead weight on this team and no one can disagree with that. Yes, we are winning. Does that automatically make Jenkins and his 2 K's the reason why we won? Or maybe it's in spite of his presence that we won. I'm not being harsh to you lamp...I'm being harsh to all the continuous supporters of Jenkins. Sure, he's had a few good years in the past. Is that supposed to negate the horrible display of baseball he's put forth this season? And he still thinks he's great!!! I give fans credit for having the cajones to boo this "Brewers savior" at the game...live in the present tense fans!
  13. Should Jenkin's be playing?...maybe a little because you are paying him so much but he isn't really playing a lot is he? Oh, you're right, I'm sorry. I thought we played the games to win them. I thought we were still in the wild card "hunt." If those statements are true, Geoff Jenkins shouldn't be in the lineup, let alone be allowed to even sniff the lineup card in the event his bad fortunes could rub off on the other players. But you claim that because we're dumping boatloads of cash to the guy, that automatically entitles him to PT? So, you just want to throw in the towel now? Shouldn't the best players play? (not the ones who make the biggest money).
  14. Is another K coming from #5??? WHAT?!? He had 2 strikes on him and he didn't K? I must be dreaming here.
  15. THe fact that the fans just booed Jenkings for that K after a big inning shows they are morons. They should have cheered the team's inning IMHO I LOVE to hear the fans booed him after K'ing. Why should a good inning by the team negate his horrible approaches at the plate and K after K? If you can't get it through your head that the guy sucks and is a black hole that sucks up $7 million of our payroll and kills us every time he's in the lineup, then I don't know what to say. We have other options. Why even pinch hit Jenkins....it's a K and men LOB waiting to happen.
  16. Why isn't Mench playing anymore? He goes from hitting clean-up to the bench overnight? Sometimes Yost baffles me.
  17. Wow, I'm shocked. I take a look at the box score for the game and see Jenkins K'd? What??? I think I'm more surprised when he doesn't strikeout. I can see his excuse for it: "Well, if Ned played me more I would be seeing the baseball better." What was his excuse earlier in the year when Ned trotted his "Rob Deer" rear end out there every day and he was swinging at balls that were outside and balls that hit the ground before they even got to the plate? Dump the clown for a sack of peanuts and a beer.
  18. go brewers. can we please take this and every series from here on out? thanks. That would be nice. Don't hold your breath though, we DO have David Bell manning 3rd everyday for us now, you know.
  19. How can a guy like Turnbow be virtually unhittable and then a half a season later he stinks? His "stuff" is still there. What is it? I can't figure the guy out.
  20. This sub-4.00 ERA K machine, Mr. Capellan looks like heck of a set-up guy to me. Trading Kolb for Kolb and Capellan is starting to even out now.
  21. I have no idea why all these people have Davis on their '07 roster. He has been nothing but average and would not be anything more than a #4 or 5 starter on a playoff team. To give him the money we would be giving, it would be a total waste. The guy is a walk machine and simply is replacable with the likes of Villanueva, Zach Jack, or Yo Gallardo who would fit in Davis' spot just fine and at a considerably cheaper price.
  22. Turn the volume way down or mute it. Then turn on Uke and Powell and have the best of both worlds.
  23. 4 BB's already for Doug "walk" Davis. This guy has 0 confidence in his "stuff." He may have 9 wins but I say no thank you to him for next year.
  24. Bush's not fooling anyone today. Do I hear Mr. Gonzalez rustling around in the pen already?
  25. Bucksman, as far as Sheets is concerned the guy just isnt healthy. Its easy to say now that he isnt worth the contract but the fact is the guy is great when healthy. Unfortunately the guy is constantly hurt and unable to show the fans how great he can be. That's exactly the problem that I have. Why is it so readily apparent that Sheets was destined to be so "great"? Sure, he had flashes of brilliance. Ahh, so did Derrick "my butt is glued to the bullpen bench" Turnbow for a year and a half. No one is so "shocked" that Turnbow sucks and isn't worth his contract. So why is everyone so convinced that Sheets was ever more than just a decent pitcher?
