  1. Fantastic inning Manny Now let's end this, Crew, before Suppan gets in the mix
  2. Alright Edmonds, let's end this here--give us something to love you for.
  3. These kinds of losses wouldn't bother me as much if I didn't think our window is so small this season (and these few years while we have Braun and Prince together in general). Said before, but this team cannot afford 3 blown saves at this juncture. That this one was against a team we've absolutely owned the last few years is actually kinda irrelevant to that.
  4. Right now, after watching Trevor's disastrous outing against the Pirates, I'm glad we made the tough decision to not go down to see the Brew Crew play in SoCal this year. This weekend though, when they're playing just over a one hour plane ride away, and I'm not there, I'm gonna be gutted.
  5. I might need to get heart surgery with Ueck That or some work on my ulcers
  6. Well, Doumit's on my fantasy team, etc etc yadda yadda barf
  7. Watching these games the last three days has just continually filled my heart with hate; very unhealthy. Going to go enjoy some sunshine.
  8. I'm strangely not too bothered by this game tonight, all things considered. You knew that Dempster owned us, and Suppan is Suppan (so I guess I could say I'm more upset on the larger issue surrounding tonight's game--put Parra in the rotation, please), and as little as I like seeing drunken Wrigleyville frat guys and mooks from awful Chicago suburbs make themselves at home at MP, I've long since given into the fact that the smallest market in baseball abuts one of the very largest, and have realized that for them to think coming into our park in numbers is some kind of accomplishment really reflects worse on them. Eh. It's time for Sharpie to start banking it around, and tomorrow would be a good start. 1-4, but I still feel we have the better team than these guys.
  9. Not gonna lie, I took a lot of schadenfreude in seeing the Brewers absolutely dominate the Pirates this week after all the yapping "Who the heck is" Delwyn Young and a lot of the rest of them did last year. Fantastic series.
  10. Thankfully we don't have to watch if we don't want to. Uff da.
  11. I'm not going to get totally down on the team or the pen or Macha at this juncture, but man oh man has it not been fun--at all--watching this team cough up late leads.
  12. Pretty bad when you turn off a game on Gameday when you're at work
  13. Came home just in time to see Stavinhoa with a 1-1 count. Blech. Fluky HR or not (and it was--I can't recall ever seeing one like that), that's one we're gonna have to steal back this season.
  14. I'll co-sign this, even though I, like every other Brewer fan, have been elss than pleased with his performance here. This excuse, to me, is less ridiculous than most of the aforementioned injuries, especially the Sosa sneeze and Kent wash. The older you get, a good (or bad) bed or pillow can make an honest difference in your well-being. But yeah, buy a new pillow after one night of using the towel, and then keep it to yourself.
  15. Uh, yeah, that's why I said it was inconsequential in the first sentence. This about a pasttime which is rather inconsequential in and of itself in the scheme of things. Didn't know we were supposed to be curing cancer here, sorry buddy!
  16. I want a Jim Bouton in a Pilots uniform bobblehead And sorry, I still think it's silly celebrating a guy who's currently playing for another team: why don't we have a bobble this year of Ben Sheets getting his strikeout record (and yeah, I know we did...when he played here).
  17. On the other hand, that bobble is pretty cool.
  18. Well, I mean, from that game alone: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_keT95ds1BKk/SpM-OuZ4iVI/AAAAAAAAAVY/2DnyIZDV600/s320/braunplayoffclincher That trot is iconic to me. Again, I am no way diminishing what CC did in his time here: he was awesome, and it was awesome, and we likely don't make the playoffs without him (like, I literally can't imagine it). It was, to reiterate, AWESOME. But it's just weird to me to be celebrating a guy who is still playing, but for another team, and a team that he chose over the Brewers, in fact. There are other strong candidates currently with the Crew to represent the 2000s.
  19. Yeah, I guess I'm surprised people aren't a little embarrassed about it. The guy is a Yankee. He's now been a Yankee longer than he ever was with the Brewers (twice as long in fact). He chose to go there over the Brewers (and found more success with them than he did here). Do this after he retires, I have no problem with it. But come on.
