  1. OK, well, this has stalled out...to grease the wheels: This person had a Top 20 hit.
  2. This person is not Australian (although he's probably done all those Dumb Things)
  3. This person is not a former Brewer.
  4. A little less depressing than poor Leon Klinghoffer; a somewhat easy one before ST games start http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/SeriesFinale75/gwsy86.jpg
  5. Interesting, I played fantasy once, several years ago, and wasn't aware of those rules, but I suppose they make sense.
  6. This guy loves Fielder, Weeks, Braun and Yo Hates JJ and Bush You'd think someone whose job it is to know this stuff would know Braun isn't playing 3rd this year though http://sports.espn.go.com/fantasy/baseball/flb/story?page=lovehate2008
  7. Those are some sharp Brewers' sweatsocks Mark A is sporting
  8. That place is crawling with jerks and morons (the worst public forum since the bilious old Yahoo forums), so I'm hesistant to imagine what you said.
  9. That show looks like a lot of fun.
  10. I really liked Toronto...the key is getting into the neighborhoods, away from the downtown and Yonge Street It reminded me a lot of Chicago
  11. I'm not determining his judgement, I simply said I hope Prince growing dreads doesn't mean he'll turn into Ricky Williams or Cedric Bensen. I never said growing dreads is a bad thing....I'd love Manny Ramirez as a Brewer You definitely intimated that growing dreads is a bad thing and even worse brushed off the long hair thing. Long hair's OK but dreads sets off red flags. Huh. I've got sideburns and a bit of a bad pompadour, that doesn't mean I'm gonna turn into John Wayne Gacy, who had a similar hairstyle.
  12. Pat Tillman had long hair and had more character than 99% of the players in the NFL. I'm not sure what anyone's hairstyle has to do with the content of their character.
  13. Just, I prefer my baseball heroes not have the same eccentric dietary practices and weak-stomached attitudes as Lisa Simpson. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I can sleep at night, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.... (no pun intended) It's like finding out Mr. T wears women's shoes or something. Que sera sera. This is what I never understand...dudes that think they're more of "a man" because they eat hamburger or whatever. I know this was said tongue-in-cheek, but it reminds me of that attitude. And I'm pretty sure they had veggie sausage at MP already, over by Gorman's Grill...but only there. I remember what a pain it was walking all the way over to that corner when my wife wanted one. I guess McCalvy eats the spread in the pressbox though.
  14. I sent this thread to my wife, a vegetarian of 15 years (her dear parents in Door County still thought it was "just a phase" well into her late 20s). Her response: "Hmmm... that's really interesting. Isn't he the one who used to ingest whole packs of hot dogs?"
  15. Yeah, it's definitely an "If my Aunt had a package she'd be my Uncle" kind of thing...I assume Sexson wasn't trying to be profound about it or anything Heck, Jenkins made half of that and look how bad people rode him here
  16. Maybe now they'll finally get veggie brats in more places in MP
  17. I was going to say The Beatles' Love Cirque show, but now I wanna see Dealertainers. Doesn't that Fat Elvis also perform at Imperial Palace?
  18. Wait, sorry, what did you say, bullox? http://i.a.cnn.net/si/images/baseball/mlb/players/6639.jpg I was lost in Lyle's eyes...
  19. And then Overbay walks in with Cirillo: "Looks like you fellas could use a massage"
  20. Of course it's a joke, how is anyone even questioning that? Anyway, I think he makes a decent point, but the text of the article is still pretty dull.
  21. Either that or it's just so cool to like an obscure band.....I don't know. Really. Who is Steve Malkmus? Seriously. Obscure has nothing to do with it...the Beatles and Beach Boys are two of my favorite bands. You can't get more popular or well-known, but there's nothing formulaic about their music. Unlike Nickelback and 80% of the other stuff that gets played on modern rock/pop stations. Anyway, Stephen Malkmus is the frontman and songwriter (mostly) for Pavement, the band Gyps was cracking on last page.
  22. Chad Krogere wishes he could write lyrics as evocative and goofily funny as Steve Malkmus' Anyway, I don't really have much against Nickelback's music in and of itself...it sounds pretty good on the radio sometimes. I just can't stand how redundant they are, and well, I think a lot of it is that I simply can't stomach the sight of Kroger's skeletal face and greasy mullet. Yeah, I'm that shallow.
  23. I miss the County Stadium of my memories, which I recognize isn't the same thing as reality. I prefer MP in pretty much every way except for the lack of barrel. Yeah, the new bleachers don't have as much personality, but I can't help but wonder if we're not better off without that sort of "personality."
  24. Sure, but what Dempster said =/= a guarantee they'd win it. He just said that he really thinks they should. That's confidence. I don't know; this just doesn't bother me. I'm OK with it if it inspires the Brewers, but I'd hope and assume they're thinking the same thing.
