  1. Blasphemy. That said, I can't imagine we'll be hearing nearly as much about them next year.
  2. Very appropriate
  3. Losing the next two. At this point, I assume the Cubs are throwing out scrub starting lineups (and we may be too...a Nix/Gwynn/Gross starting OF, anyone? Stocker starting?) so the final standings are kinda meaningless. Really I guess I just don't care either way.
  4. Great, the Brewers blow the season and now there are mutants among us.
  5. Ah, I thought you meant this was something that happened just recently My mind is clouded this evening
  6. Win #82 is going to be a mostly joyless experience for me. That said, I hope they get it. And I know a few obnoxious Padres fans, too. Misery loves company. Might as well "finish strong." (Woe, woe, woe)
  7. I've kind of learned to despise Piniella this year even though I used to love him. Besides the stinkin' laundry he wears, the way he crapped out on the Devil Rays and then heads off to a team with a nine figure payroll struck me as weak.
  8. To add to this. My dad found a job in southeastern Wisconsin at the last minute so I didn't have to move to Chicago and probably become a Chicago fan. I could live there until I died an old man in my bed and I'd never turn to the dark side. I lived about a mile from Wrigley for eight years. October 2003 was awful (expect for the happy ending). I'd probably head out of town for a couple weeks if I still lived there now. I've said this elsewhere, but I'm almost certain I'd have gotten in some kind of dust-up by now.
  9. Against my better judgment, I just went and perused the "celebration" photos at chicagotribune.com I'd advise those with weak stomachs to avoid it. May I repeat, The Worst.
  10. I don't live in Chicago anymore.
  11. The worst Brewers' season ever. I've said it a million times, but I'd have taken a 100+ loss season that we were never in over the way this one has played out. 2002 has nothing on this in terms of frustration, disgust, anger and sadness. On the other hand, if this brutal "learning experience" means playoff runs and a World Series title in the next 3-4 years, I'll take it. But right now I could vomit.
  12. Seriously, the Cubs got swept by the last-place Marlins at a point where they could least afford to be swept, and the Brewers--at home--picked up only one lousy game. These guys just find new ways to torture us this year.
  13. I would obviously prefer to see them win it or at least in it until Sunday, but this season's been brutal.
  14. I'm honestly really looking forward to it being over. Maybe after tomorrow night.
  15. The Brewers have to be the only team that can't take advantage of the Cubs' curse. This stinks.
  16. I'm amazed we're even that high--but for the silver lining, if the Mets blow it, we look like small fries
  17. Sorry if it seemed like I was jumping on you...who am I to patrol that kind of stuff? That's just always been kind of a pet peeve of mine (9 of 10 no one says "that white outfielder") and I know you didn't mean anything by it.
  18. Why does this matter
  19. That group was featured in an online article this week, too--I think on Yahoo. They struck me as rank amateurs...I think the NSBB guys kinda hate Pink Hat, too.

  21. I'm surprised they didn't right after the trade deadline
  22. The Brew Crew should have never found themselves in the position to rely on Adam Dunn in the first place--we'll have to live with it. Just as long as no one here posts anything like "It's the world against the Brewers": http://www.northsidebaseball.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=44198
  23. 46 pages down the drain! My feelings are mixed.
