  1. I'm narrowing my eyes and pretending that was Rickie legging out a triple instead of Jemile Weeks
  2. Yeah, let me reiterate how much I hate how Fox blocks the other two national Saturday matinees from being shown on Extra Innings. I'm watching a Texas-Oakland game that's taking place a few miles across the Bay in a Coliseum that has about 8000 fans in it--why can't MLB have the NFL's blackout rules?
  3. What a truly miserable human being.
  4. Unfortunately that did little to nothing for me in terms of humor but a lot of it actually looked good for a guy at home.
  5. Yeah, that Rickie homer was definitely Friday; I'll never forget that night: McClung pumping his fist at third, etc. And yeah, this is way too early. Me, I just hope they clinch. That said... It seems like most of the recent NL WS representatives played very meaningful ballgames up to or through the last weekend that kept their iron hot: the Giants' last year, Phils in '08, Cards in '06, even the Rockies in '07 and Astros in '05 though they both lost. Of course, that didn't work for us in '08 and the cream will generally rise to the top regardless. I'll save my angina for the playoffs please, and take the clincher with about a week to go (but please, just take the clincher whatever happens).
  6. Well, they've won (or will) two of three against the similarly-flailing-but-still-first-place Giants in SF, so even if it's difficult for them to get back into the race at this point, I'd hate to see them heat up again before this weekend's series and then seven more down the stretch (including the last three). I'm not so sure they will but regardless.
  7. I read this as "attitude."
  8. On the other anecdotal end, LaRussa used to stay during ST at a hotel I waited cafe tables at, and he was always a really nice guy to me and a great tipper. That doesn't mean I like how he acts otherwise though.
  9. Really hope that the lads get another game up on them this weekend so the series holds a little less meaning
  10. Yeah, worst part of this one is thinking about how the Crew could be 5.5 (!) up. Ifs and buts, ifs and buts... The fun of today's Yadi Disaster and the Casey Trois almost made last night worth it though
  11. This inning was going swimmingly until Furcal...good AB by him.
  12. Yeah, I thought was obvious..his other tweets seem to indicate he's pretty aware Anyway, I wish we'd have seen Dillard here but whatever.
  13. Jackson has hit Wolf well today--don't like him pitching to him in this situation with his wheels falling off.
  14. Three scoreless innings in a row from Wolf, didn't see that early on
  15. yeah, i feel like 11-12 runs wins it. Well on our way. Hope we can get out of this inning without too much blood (Brewerkiller Theriot and Prince Albert coming up)
  16. Wish we could've seen more of that hustle on Berk's Texas Leaguer last night, but past is past Really? You actually think Braun didn't hustle in order to try to prevent the go-ahead run in extra innings? No. But he did not look like he was closing all that fast and I assumed it was due to his health, that's all.
  17. Wish we could've seen more of that hustle on Berk's Texas Leaguer last night, but past is past
