    It’s beautiful. My wife & I attended the game where Yount got hit #3001. I scheduled a trip three weeks out & projected he would get #3000 in Baltimore. He did so against Cleveland two nights earlier than I guessed.

    Beating the Cubs in the playoffs last year (& this year too) makes for a successful season

    Hopefully they learned from last year’s slow fade to the finish line that led to an embarrassing four game sweep by the Dodgers. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Play to win every game. When a player tells you who he is - believe him.

    Common sense - after his last few outings - had already told them loud & clear that he is not a candidate for the playoff roster.

    What a horrible decision to start Harrison today. That choice was the equivalent of saying: “it’s okay to lose this game … we’re really good & can coast to the finish line.”

    Speaking of runs … we’re running out of innings to play catch up. This was a very winnable game until the decision was made to bump May & start Harrison. Disappointing.

    Agreed … but wouldn’t you say the recent outings by Harrison & Sproat were low leverage outings where they repeatedly failed miserably?

    Stallings may not have the talent or pedigree of many Brewers prospects, but so far in 2026, he knows how to get outs at the major league level. That should count for something. He’s looked better than the trade deadline relievers.

    Sanchez hitting a triple may top Miz’s near perfect game against the Phillies for most amazing event of the season!

    We could have won today if we had started Stallings instead of Harrison. Disappointing.

    The only way Sanchez gets a triple would be to hit the ball over the outfield fence & run out of gas … having to stop at third to catch his breath

    This is the wiser approach for Harrison & Sproat. Hopefully they both figure it out soon. But don’t plan on them succeeding & being starters for the big league team.

    Unfortunately, this lineup is making a very mediocre pitcher look like an All-Star … I’m not a fan of punting games.

    Harrison made that clear before today … he should be placed on the IL for mental weakness or optioned to make room for someone who can eat innings & save the bullpen arms.

    Some things are obvious … even to the average fan for example: Everyone “knew” the Packers offensive line would struggle against a Flores led Vikings defense. The game only reinforced what was obvious to anyone paying attention. Everyone should have known that both Sproat & Harrison are “done” for the 2026 season. There was no need to waste a few games to verify that belief. It was obvious based on recent outings.
