I’m so glad Brandon Sproat is NOT pitching tonight! I’m also glad that Kuhnel is unlikely to return to the 26-man roster after the trade deadline acquisitions. Sproat was humble & distraught following last night’s game. I feel for him, but I hope he is moved to AAA for the remainder of the 2026 season. Maybe he turns it around like Burnes after a disastrous 2019 season. I’m not hopeful, but I’d love to be wrong / surprised by a 2027 & beyond breakout.

Milwaukee is in an offensive funk for the ages … pitching Sproat is similar to the game against the Angels when we bumped Drohan for Pallone. We’re not good enough to punt a game every series. Not enjoyable baseball the last few weeks.

I know he’s young & talented, but I’m not so sure Chourio will be the superstar he was projected to be when he was in the minors. After nearly three seasons in the majors, his stats are … .270 with about 20 homers a year … I don’t see improvement anywhere - including his OF defense. He’s a good player so far, but not a game changing all star like I anticipated.

Another close, low run loss chaps me …but at least Stallings has performed well in his brief time in Milwaukee. Hopefully, he gets an opportunity to stick around since Yoho is gone.

We need a manager who isn’t chummy with his highest paid former all-star player. No doubt, he should have pinch hit for a poor hitting Yelich there. No backbone whatsoever.

We probably will lose Bauers next year because of the Yelich contract. I’d much rather “eat” the bad contract, release the aging underperforming player, & sign Bauers to a three year extension.

Murphy is a complete idiot for keeping Yelich in the lineup every day … especially at the top of the order. He should play occasionally & bat in the bottom third. He too should be jettisoned in the offseason. Eat the ugly contract. Ply a young, hungry, talented prospect.

I seldom like Murphy’s “in game” decisions, but I must admit … I loved him yanking Sproat in the middle of an at bat after throwing two wild pitches. I didn’t mind the boo birds either. Hopefully, we’ve seen the last of Sproat this season … & I’m honestly okay if we trade him in the offseason rather than endure another year of failure from him every six days.
