  1. Any chance Counsell’s knowledge of Freddy Peralta & his tendencies could bite us today?
  2. I’d love to see Ortiz get more time in the lineup … after all, we traded Burnes for him & Hall (who has floundered). No doubt, Ortiz has the better “glove” - but Dunn seems to have a better “arm” from 3rd … apparently, Murph loves Dunn. I’m surprised that Sanchez is getting so few opportunities (I’m not disappointed). He appears to only DH when we face a lefty (which is good). I don’t like our current roster construction. I assume Monasterio & Turang are OF options in addition to Bauers (whom I would be fine if he were DFA’d).
  3. I’m super grateful for the improved site & I love the forums - particularly the IGTs. I also highly value the minor league daily summaries & the Transaction Rumors & Proposals (mostly in the offseason). I also enjoy reading the articles written by BREWERS fans … I don’t appreciate OR read articles written by fans of other teams. Thanks to Brock & his team for keeping Brewers fans well informed with a top shelf website for Brewers baseball Fanatics!
  4. Wisdom … the wife’s vote ALWAYS counts more than the husband’s vote This realization leads to a happy marriage
  5. You’re forgetting … Counsell did this for the “other” managers - not for himself. He’s a really swell guy … Always thinking of the “other” managers. He still wants to be the Brewers manager, but he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to sacrifice his preferences to better the salaries of his peers. What a hero.& role mode … we were lucky to have him.
  6. Black needs a smaller batting helmet
  7. While I was typing my previous note - Tobias struck out two to limit the damage ... well done, young man!
  8. I wanted to relax & enjoy an afternoon of Brewers baseball. This is NOT what I had in mind. I have come to expect gritty & low-scoring outings from all of these "no name" pitchers that Milwaukee employs - probably a bit unrealistic. Do we simply let Tobias take one for the team & suffer another Yankee-level beatdown OR is there someone who can step in & give us five innings of relief to keep this one competitive?
  9. Glad to see Wilken is making progress. I was hoping to see him in Biloxi on Tues 5/7 & Wed 5/8. Looks like I will have to enjoy Boeve instead.
  10. Which players on the current roster are able to play in the OF?
  11. I wondered if he might be a good option & I trust your take more than mine
  12. Should we expect to see Brewer Hicklen in Chicago tomorrow? If not - who gets called up for Wiemer?
  13. This defense makes me nervous Not sure about Ortiz throwing to Sanchez Hopefully Megill records a few strike outs & induces a pop up to the left side
  14. What’s the defensive alignment in the OF after the Wiemer injury?
  15. Ricky Weeks coming out party - four steals in one inning
  16. Glad I complained & acted like the sky was falling The Brewers responded with two runs I’d like another here
  17. Are you referring to his lengthy contract or his ongoing back issues?
  18. I would rather lose 10-0 than 1-0 … especially against Chicago & Counsell I would turn the game off & find something fun to do This is excruciating - hoping the Brewers might someone find a few runs while time is running out
  19. Can't catch a break today ... Cloun$ell makes a pitching change
