  1. Murphy has been terrible in game management Counsell was extremely good This concerns me greatly
  2. Yes … 100% agree on Frelick error Does Pappa Murphy consequence his “kids” for such blatant errors? We need a Nashville shuttle for position players similar to the one we have for pitchers. We are supposedly an excellent defensive team, but we have given away a few games already with “blow up” innings.
  3. Does Dunn make that play defensively?
  4. Team chemistry Giving nicknames Postgame interviews Candid responses to questions that Coun$ell deflected
  5. Wilson has proven to be a MUCH better starting pitcher than what I thought possible. The older I get, the more I realize how little I truly know & understand this game of baseball that I love dearly. As a devoted Brewers fan - I'm glad that I don't make decisions regarding who is on the roster & where they play once on the roster. I think I know what's best - but I'm clueless.
  6. I believe he was interim manager on a bad team & did not get hired after the season Because he was Counsell’s mentor from college - he got an opportunity in Milwaukee When Craig departed for the dark side - he was chosen to become manager to keep things as similar as possible to the previous regime He isn’t great with in game decisions Time will tell if he is a good choice
  7. Even though our record is 20-13 … we are not a very good team
  8. If you had told me beforehand that the final score today would be 5-0 … I would have lost a bet assuming the Brewers would shutout the Cubbies with Peralta out-dueling Assad. Shows how little I know about this game after 63 years.
  9. Same principle applies to Murphy There is a reason he was 65 before getting a shot
  10. Apparently the answer to my question is YES
  11. I believe Dunn will be sent to Nashville early this week
  12. Time to do something else - this is a waste of time ... I hate losing to the Counsell-led Cubs I now have a tram to like less than the Bears
  13. We are certainly not as good as our record indicates. I'm genuinely concerned about our starting pitching. That concern is highlighted on days like today when our one "top notch" starter struggles. Watching Gasser in Nashville today - he's likely not the answer. We need two more quality starters or we need to consider 2024 a transition year & hope we are playoff competitive in 2025.
  14. Yesterday would not be soon enough ... long overdue
  15. This is the type of situation that led to Black being added to our roster - to improve run production with two outs
  16. If I met Assad at the mall, I would not assume that he is a starting pitcher in MLB. He does not look athletic. He's a little pudgy & the glasses don't help.
  17. Since Murphy continues to put Dunn in the lineup, this would be a good time for him to repay his manager's kindness
  18. Excerpt from MSJ article today: Joey Ortiz out of the lineup again Infielder Joey Ortiz has been one of the Brewers’ better bats this year but hasn’t been in any of Murphy’s three lineups this weekend. The reasoning for that, Murphy said, is that he wanted to get at least one more look at what Oliver Dunn could do as the team weighed whether he would remain in the majors or get optioned. “Ortiz, I consider him a starter,” Murphy said. “I’ve given Dunn this opportunity here because I want to find out about him. It seemed to be trending the other way and maybe he needs some more seasoning. And he’s kind of stepped up both offensively, defensively, and baserunning.”
  19. two walks ... too many pitches ... but three strikeouts
  20. With a good outing today for Nashville, Gasser’s next start may be in Milwaukee
