  1. Hoping this blind squirrel (Capra) finds an acorn (base hit) here
  2. How can Murphy be benched or held accountable for his recent & ongoing in game decision blunders?
  3. I’m fed up with Murphy, His management of the players … pitching changes & substitutions … has been consistently bad. I think he’s clueless & overrated … personality plus but no feel for the game. Durbin made a mistake, but how does it improve the team to put Capra in the game when you need to score runs? Another loss to a bad team … we are free falling.
  4. I may be alone, but it would be fine with me if Arnold “Buck Rodgered” Murphy
  5. For sanity sake … I believe I will take a break from watching this disappointing team until they win another game I love baseball I love the Brewers I dislike “bad” baseball I will watch the NFL Draft today Not sure what I will do tomorrow I will check in online to see if they are winning or still in a nosedive Hopefully, they turn it around sooner than later I’m exhausted & aggravated at how poorly they are playing recently
  6. The starters aren’t very good either
  7. I assume (hope) Capra is DFA’d to make room for Cameron on the 40-man roster. Then Cameron comes to Milwaukee to replace Mitchell if he goes on the IL. Maybe Monasterio takes Capra’s place on the 26-man roster … at least short-term It would be fun to see Pratt added later in the season if he continues to play well … his upside is far greater
  8. Mitchell was stellar defensively but was not hitting well at all Hopefully he gets healthy & contributes later in the season I’m excited to see what Cameron can bring When we traded for him, the scouting reports I read didn’t speak highly of his defense
  9. Thanks for attempting to answer my question I usually ask concrete - not abstract - questions … that’s the way I see the world … black & white with little to no gray I’m not negative & make a comfortable living coaching leaders & telling them truth kindly but clearly I have several friends who often see the same thing I see but somehow spin it in a positive light … which often feels shallow or insincere Anyone who is watching the 2025 Brewers can’t help but acknowledge that they are not performing well … no matter how long the season (we are 1/6 of the way through the 162 game season after another disappointing loss tonight)
  10. It is certainly not my intention to “trash” the Brewers. I love this team & have for years. I do feel like I’m objective & find it difficult to see much positive in this year’s team. There have been several blowout losses & a few games where we gave away leads with poor defense. Additionally, I’m not fond of Murphy’s “in game” decisions. I like his personality far more than Counsell’s but not his baseball decisions. I’m shocked at how poorly the defense has played. I’m not surprised by the lack of power or poor performances by payers on the left side of the infield. Overall, we have been worse than our 13-14 record. I don’t have confidence in this group of players - even with a few pitchers + Perkins returning soon - performing well enough to win the NL Central. Gosh, I hope I’m wrong.
  11. I’m sorry … let me try again: I’ve always wondered … Does having a “positive outlook” - even when a team is playing poorly - make losing easier?
  12. Do you consider my candid assessments & non-complimentary posts about the Brewers poor play in 2025 as “trashing” my team?
  13. I quite sure Capra would pass through waivers if DFA’d & could then go to Nashville for the ultimate “break glass in place of emergency” later this season
  14. Who would play SS? If Turang … do you move Durbin to 2nd & Collins to 3rd?
  15. This is what happens when Murphy “plays a hunch” earlier in the game & removes Ortiz for Bauers to ground out
  16. He could very well break Counsell’s record for inept at bats
  17. I’ve always wondered … does that make losing easier?
  18. I’m so tired of bad baseball This is not a good team Time to ditch Buck Rodgers & hire Harvey Kuenn (And Rickie Weeks is not Harvey Kuenn)
  19. Ortiz could have grounded out. Now we get to watch Capra with the bat. Another odd decision by our skipper.
  20. I love math … since I was a kid, I started breaking the 162 game season into six segments … 27, 54, 81, 108, 135, & 162 Tonight, we risk being under .500 after the first segment I’m sure we will get hot at some point & have a good segment or two It is unlikely that the Brewers make the playoffs unless they win the NL Central There are several quality if not elite NL teams that may be more capable of occupying the wild cards
  21. There certainly may be such a team I can’t imagine that this team - even with a few arms returning soon - will make or advance in the playoffs against some of the NL elite teams Our offense, defense, & pitching … along with Murphy making consistently bad in game decisions … have all performed at a mediocre level Like everyone else contributing to these in game threads - I hope I’m wrong & we go wild & win 100 games in route to the World Series … but they looked much better in 2024
  22. At least he’s pitching I can’t believe Milwaukee took back Cortes only to have him experience a repeat of the same injury he had late last season Hopefully Durbin becomes a solid contributor for the Brewers I’m not all that surprised by Williams struggling in New York
  23. And if you recall … the 2023 Brewers team was often challenging to watch … it was often ugly baseball … eerily similar to the 2025 season thus far At 64, as a lifetime baseball & Brewers fan, I’m well aware that the season is long … I’m also aware when the team doesn’t look good & unfortunately, that is the case so far this season Seldom in 2024 did the Brewers look like they’ve looked this season
