  1. Can someone mention this to Murphy? If he’s open to further input, you might also update him on Yelich’s stats in that same time frame.
  2. Ashby will probably pitch in Game 2 or relieve Miz tomorrow. Murphy loves him & Yelich no matter the results. if we lose this game, it is 100% on the manager.
  3. I find this very interesting … especially on a day we will likely see Sanchez catch the 2nd game
  4. I’m sure it won’t happen but one option would be to release him in the offseason & eat the contract … similar to what the Bucks did with Dame Lillard. I believe there are several bats on our 40-man roster that would add greater value over the next two years.
  5. It was definitely away from the barrel … Sproat hit 3 batters in 3 innings pitched. Many of his pitches were a foot outside the strike zone. He was constantly behind in the count. He threw far too many pitches (83) for 9 outs. He was terrible today.
  6. Yelich batting lead off is simply stubbornness by Murphy that is costing his team early outs. This is the one thing that irritated me about Greg when he was our manager. Apparently, Yelich is chummy with the manager & their friendship clouds their reality that he is no longer a good MLB hitter. He will dip under .700 OPS today. He should play every other day based on his current performance. There are more deserving bench bats available to DH. I’m grateful for his history & contributions over the years but he’s no longer a great hitter. He’s not even a good hitter. He’s a below average hitter. He’s certainly not a lead off hitter.
  7. The rookies adding value! Milwaukee’s FO looking smart with the long-term contracts for these two players.
  8. 83 pitches in three innings. That’s awful. Sproat’s only valid reason for maintaining a rotation spot is he’s healthy. What a disappointment.
  9. We need Sproat to give us six innings. It doesn’t look promising for him to cover more than four today. He’s all over the place & throwing far too many uncompetitive pitches.
  10. It is hard for me to recall how bad Corbin Burnes was the year he had an ERA over 9 before he became a Cy Young winner. I remember many people suggesting Burnes had “great stuff” (one of my least favorite baseball phrases) when the results weren’t there. My hope is Brandon Sproat takes the Corbin Burnes journey to success. He’s a “difficult watch” this year. Hope next year is the breakout season.
  11. It is so disappointing that only one Brewers player will be playing the All-Star game this year. Both Turang & Bauers should have made the team. I don’t plan to watch.
  12. I understand & agree. It’s quite sad for Leonard as it prevents him from making his MLB debut. He would also be far more helpful if called upon.
  13. We have the best FO in baseball. I can’t comprehend how anyone in that FO believes Jones is the best option for the MLB infield bench role. He should have never been re-signed after he was DFAd. I feel the same way about Kuhnel. I hope Jones & Kuhnel (once he is off the IL) are off the team shortly never to return. They make Blake Perkins (who I really appreciate) look like a HOF player.
  14. Stallings back up for DH? I can’t believe Greg Jones is on the roster … he will ply tomorrow too
