  1. He’s been great with his bat tonight. The double play was unfortunate timing. Two hits plus a line drive out to LF. Overall, one of his better offensive games.
  2. This has been a winnable game … but we’ve not been clutch Hopeully we can rally wtie or win in the ninth inning
  3. Two months of Skubal … right? I’m completely opposed as well. I’m not sure there is any trade we can make that would get us past the Dodgers this year. I hope we keep our prospects & plan on being a top World Series contender for years to come.
  4. I’m honestly glad that Woodruff got his one year deal at $22M. He & his family can live comfortably on that amount for the rest of their lives if he has a good wealth advisor.
  5. So terribly sad to see Woody exit after another loss of velocity. I fear the end is near for our beloved Woodruff.
  6. We have missed far too many scoring opportunities tonight That was a great swing by Ortiz … just hit it right at the LF
  7. This would be a great time for Pratt to hit his first MLB homer
  8. What scares me … I honestly think that Murphy believes in Yelich
  9. Is there a way to know or discover the win % for a MLB team that gives up a three-run homer in the first inning? I assume that % is pretty low.
  10. And everyone on this board was surprised beyond words 🙌
  11. His stats were really good. His location was excellent. His “stuff” was not great.
  12. Watching the last two weeks, I can’t reconcile our 54-32 record. We don’t look or play like a team sporting the second best record in MLB. It’s sad to see both Yelich & Woody being a far less dynamic version of themselves at a time when we need their best. It’s even more sad to accept that neither is likely to return to the players we remember from previous years. Saddest of all is the fact that they account for nearly $50M of our “small market” payroll.
  13. I can’t imagine anyone signing him for more than a year next offseason … & at a bargain price
  14. This late start time coupled with an early deficit makes me grumpier than usual
  15. Yelich continues to hit like we’re already in playoff games
  16. Here’s hoping the patient Dbacks approach at the plate (taking lots of pitches & not striking out often) doesn’t produce the worst in Woodruff.
