We probably will lose Bauers next year because of the Yelich contract. I’d much rather “eat” the bad contract, release the aging underperforming player, & sign Bauers to a three year extension. -
Murphy is a complete idiot for keeping Yelich in the lineup every day … especially at the top of the order. He should play occasionally & bat in the bottom third. He too should be jettisoned in the offseason. Eat the ugly contract. Ply a young, hungry, talented prospect.

I seldom like Murphy’s “in game” decisions, but I must admit … I loved him yanking Sproat in the middle of an at bat after throwing two wild pitches. I didn’t mind the boo birds either. Hopefully, we’ve seen the last of Sproat this season … & I’m honestly okay if we trade him in the offseason rather than endure another year of failure from him every six days.

By the end of the day, I simply want to watch a competitive game. When I saw Sproat was starting tonight, I knew Milwaukee would be behind early. This team may have a great record, but it is not playing good baseball. Yuck!

I hate that he got another start. We need to beat this average Pirates team at some point. Sproat is supposed to be talented, but he’s been a nothing burger all season. I’m sick of him getting starts.

At 65, I’m sure my hairline is receding somewhat … but “a box of hair” is worthless & Sproat is not a MLB pitcher.

I’d trade him for a box of hair in the offseason … I’m not sure I could ever cheer for him as a Brewers starter. The last several times he’s pitched, I pause my AppleTV & fast forward every few minutes until the inning is over. He makes me crazy mad.

I’d like to see how far this team can go with our current offense & starting pitchers. We may have enough relievers too if we can get guys healthy. It would be great to add a quality (non-rental) starter if we can do so without losing one of the top prospects. Then we can move a starter or two to the bullpen for the playoffs. It is going to be difficult to beat the Dodgers in 2026.
