BREAKING NEWS: With today’s performance - getting on base three times - Christian Yelich has cemented his role as Milwaukee’s lead off hitter through the 2026 MLB playoffs Brewers Manager Pat Murphy
  3. edfunderburk
I’m sure Murphy will emphasize & highlight Yelich being on base three times today because of his veteran presence / leadership

I understand. My wife’s name is Bethani … even many longtime friends type Bethany. I'm sure Weimar has made peace with people misspelling his name.

What other players in Brewers history have such vibrant personalities as Uribe? a few come to mind: The Raptor, Nyjer Morgan …

Does it really matter? If you start correcting every typo in the IGT, you will miss the majority of the game.

What a “mature” swing by Mitchell … reminded me of Carew & Gwynn … waving his bat to place the ball in LF!
  8. edfunderburk
Lara can lead off Mitchell can hit third
  9. edfunderburk
What a beautiful swing by Mitchell. Glad he didn’t walk (twice).
  10. edfunderburk
Another hit here & I can relax I like Mitchell in this spot
  11. edfunderburk
Wild Bill will likely attempt to hammer this first pitch.
  12. edfunderburk
Bauers had one to hit there …
  13. edfunderburk
Way to go, Chourio! Big hit in a critical spot.
  14. edfunderburk
Should Vaughn hit for Yelich here?
  15. edfunderburk
This is a perfect match … Civale & the Cubs!

Aside from the top of the 2nd inning, Drohan has been exceptional again today. And even in that inning, he recovered nicely & kept his pitch count down. He’s given the Brewers another quality start. He should return for the seventh inning too.

I’m disappointed that Yelich is our DH every game. I’m furious that he’s batting lead off as our DH.
  18. edfunderburk
We take so many called third strikes … frustrating beyond words
  19. edfunderburk
Need a run here … hope Pratt lines one to RF
  20. edfunderburk
Lara could have been on third … their CF has a noodle arm
  21. edfunderburk
Mercy … that’s Andrew Fischer territory
  22. edfunderburk
We all have to joke & try to find humor in what has become of a once great player
  23. edfunderburk
Joey is much improved over the last 20 games …
  24. edfunderburk
I really like Drohan - starter or long reliever if we get healthy & pick up a quality starter

Surprised to see Meyer exit after three innings & 74 pitches. He did not look sharp today, but three innings?
