  1. Turner’s error is an example of why Ortiz is still valuable to the Brewers as he makes all the routine plays exceptionally well
  2. 13-13 (if lucky) I honestly believe this could be a more challenging month but it’s hard to go below.500 while the team is red hot
  3. We have 10+ quality starting pitchers once everyone is healthy. Majors: Peralta, Patrick, Civale, Quintana, Priester - plus Ashby & Hall Minors: Myers, Henderson, Misiorowski, Woodruff IL: Cortez, Gasser, Rodriguez (I hope he didn’t severely injure himself by pitching after a two-hour rain delay last week) Am I missing anyone else? Does Woodruff - based on previous MLB success - bring / add > value to the starting rotation than Patrick? I don’t believe he does … & I’m a HUGE Woody fan.
  4. The Alexander DFA was welcome news this morning I’d like to see new faces in place of Cameron & Monasterio too - whether that be promotions (Dalbec & Zamora) or a low-level trade I hope Patrick remains when Woody returns - I believe he may add more value in 2025
  5. I surely hope we find a way to keep Patrick in Milwaukee - he doesn’t deserve a demotion to Nashville no matter who returns from the IL
  6. I hope tonight’s game is the first of multiple piggyback starters to take advantage of our pitching depth when healthy
  7. This is the Hall that Arnold traded for when we sent Burnes to Baltimore. Ortiz - & his defense - was icing on the cake.
  8. That is great news He may get it together & be useful later this season
  9. Coming soon to a Brewers team near you … Brandon Woodruff Check out his stat line from today in Appleton:
  10. When will we know if Payamps is claimed, traded, or sent to Nashville?
  11. I’m moving a comment from today’s game thread to this new topic … I don’t believe this 2025 Brewers team is playoff caliber - but I love their spunk & tenacity (Murphy qualities, no doubt) If by some miracle Milwaukee qualifies for the playoffs - I don’t believe this team can win it all this year That said: I believe this is an extremely important year as young players grow & learn “how to win” in the big leagues I also believe this team can compete as soon as 2026 & will be a premiere team in 2027-2030
  12. As a journalism major & former college newspaper editor, I want to give you kudos for your use of the word “kerfuffle” … simply brilliant! 👏💪👏🏆

  14. WARNING: old white man ranting incoming My least favorite phrase for a MLB player or anyone receiving a paycheck from an employer: “I deserve” … Circumstances change. Injuries happen. As a member of a team - you do whatever is asked of you … period.
  15. I hope Boston gets so frustrated with him that they are willing to pay $200M of his salary & trade him to Milwaukee to play 3rd base … & DH in a year or two. 😊 A man can dream!
