  1. Confession: I haven’t read any of the comments in this thread yet … I plan to do so once I get “free” from work later today. I must admit, I am a HUGE Caleb Durbin fan so I’m initially quite sad & a little perplexed by this trade. In one way it makes sense with so many dynamic prospects knocking on the major league door. It seems odd to me that we traded all of our major league options at 3B. I’m disappointed that Mayer wasn’t included - Hamilton hit .198 last year. He’s fast as lightning but already 29 years old. I’m sure members of this board who are more knowledgeable than me will help clarify “why” this trade makes sense. Color me confused & a little sad. Curious to see who makes the Opening Day roster & especially who is playing 3B. I do trust Matt Arnold … so it is wait & see for me. I wonder if another trade is in the works.
  2. I gladly pay the $120 annual MLB.com app fee to have access to the Brewers & all other baseball teams. Additionally, I happily pay $60 annually for ad-free access to this website & the game day forums. These may be my best expenditures of the year as a diehard Brewers fan.
  3. I agree that Caleb Durbin will outperform Eugenio Suarez in 2026 I also believe Chad Patrick will have a better year than Freddy Peralta
  4. All of the minor league “season summary” podcasts have been exceptional! Grateful to those (Spencer, Joseph, others) who spend hours preparing & sharing their insights & player analysis/projections. 💪👏
  5. I’d prefer Megill, Peña, Letson … but I’m all in for Wilyer Abreau
  6. I’d love for the Brewers to sign Jonah Heim to back up Contreras - especially since he’s likely traded next offseason
  7. What catchers are likely to begin the season with: Nashville Biloxi Wisconsin Wilson Surely we will add catchers before Spring Training … possibly in Milwaukee as well
  8. POST TRADE PREDICTION: Chad Patrick will have a better year for the Brewers than Freddy Peralta has for the Mets POST TRADE QUESTIONS: Is Jett Williams a candidate to move to CF? If so, how does he project there defensively? Since the Brewers have several top prospects who play SS - Which ones are projected to stay there & which ones are likely to move? Which middle infield prospects are most likely to become trade candidates (because of redundancy)?
  9. Can Baty play LF? If so, he & Tong would be a great trade for Peralta. I assume he would be able to work an extension with the Mets before the trade would be finalized.
  10. Dodgers - Sheehan & DePaula excites me Mets - Tong & Baty thrills me
  11. I’m not familiar with the Padres farm system. I agree that these trades aren’t a match. I do get excited about the earlier Mets & Brewers trade potential.
  12. Grok suggests these Brewers / Padres trades: 1. Padres send Kash Mayfield, Kyle Hart, and Carlos Alvarez to the Brewers for Peralta. 2. Padres send Jagger Haynes, Victor Lizarraga, and Lamar King Jr. to Brewers for Peralta. These packages offer young arms that align with Milwaukee's interest in MLB-ready talent.
  13. I like this trade. Would prefer Acuna to Mauricio
  14. And now the Cubbies add Bregman for 5 years & $175M
  15. Murakami had a 30% strikeout rate against pitching far less quality than MLB. I’m glad Milwaukee side-stepped this opportunity.
  16. This news is about as encouraging as the Packers game last night
  17. Wasn’t that true of the trade we just completed - except in reverse? At least in WAR …
  18. This is the trade I want to see
  19. That was my hope as well I love the Collins type of player - we can all relate to someone like him
  20. My sentiments exactly. I wish Yelich would have “helped the team” by being an option as LH first baseman to complement Vaughn. I see him being a great DH option against RH pitching. I hope the Brewers consider others against lefties moving forward.
