  1. With Lara playing so well and Lockridge on rehab I cant see us trading for OF. Especally with Bauers around and Yeli in an emergency. I like all 3 but there isn't much playing time for a need.
  2. Would Luis Severino be an option if the A's eat some of next years money? He is hurt but expected back before the year is out. Arnold likes to take risks on injured pitchers, this would be a risk but he would have next year. His stuff is top notch and he has said how he doesn't like pitching there. I could see a match if the injury is still on track. The Jays are falling fast, Gausman and Hoffman are 2 other prime targets especially if we are willing to give up mlb ready players and take back some money.
  3. He is hitting over .300 and has a year of control. We could get a useful vet pitcher for sure. I would be ok with trading him but we would need to get a quality starter. Robbie Ray might make a lot of sense but he isnt my favorite option. Especially since he is so similar to Harrison I think that overlap would hurt in a playoff series. In that situation I think the value we lose is made up by getting starter. I especially think that with Luke Adams playing so well that he could pick up some of the offense lost. Again it would have to be a playoff rotation arm to send him out.
  4. I feel like the are a bunch of guys in AA who are needing a promotion. Burke, Boeve, O'Rae, Wood for sure with Made potentially. Ragsdale, Josh A, and Fischer even wouldnt be a stretch if we trade some AAA bats (or cut a vet or 3).
  5. 1.2 WAR in 31 games before a solid game today (1.3/1.4 now probably). That puts him on pace for a 6-7 WAR full season. Lara has been up less but is on a pretty similar pace. I could see a situation in like 2029 where we have a nearly full lineup of guys who walk nearly as much as they strikeout.
  6. I would be all for Miller but wouldnt really deal any big-time upside prospects my offer would be like Jett, Sal, Dinges, and a pitching prospect or two. I think the Pads likely get better upside offers.
  7. Its always fluid, someone graduates and rankings change quickly. I would guess Lara and Pratt graduate soon and we will be like 3-5.
  8. Joey has been good recently but Abrams has been amazing. I think that what the org has done with Durbin and Hamilton defensively makes this possible. However I would guess the Nats will want a monstrous return. My guess would be 2 top 100 guys and at least 1 other strong piece if not 2. For me the upgrade from Joey to Abrams wouldnt be worth say Josh A., Sproat, Letson, and Hamilton or Crow. I would guess the Nats want lots of pitching. I can see the interest but I think the price would be high and Arnold isn't going to want to give up mlb ready pitching depth.
  9. I believe i just said 2 top 20 guys, not from our team. I get that our system is way deeper but if someone else offers 2 top 20 guys and our offer is Manfredi and Black we arent getting Sanzatela. My offer as posted before would be O'Rae and Black/Manfredi which I think still might be beat by other teams.
  10. 1) Elvis Alvarado for Dylan O'Rae, JD Thompson, and Carlos Rodriguez We get a high octane reliever that can be tweaked easy and has team control. We give up 2 quality prospects and CarRod to get a chance and provide the 40 man spot. I would anticipate a Megill trade this offseason and Alvarado would be an upside replacement. 2) Casey Mize and SS Angel de los Santos for Jett Williams Jett is a big price to pay for a rental. We get de los Santos an 18 year old who had a good year in rookie ball to lessen the long term value potentially.
  11. Last year Kyle Finnegan got 2 prospects the #15 prospect (Josh Randall) and RJ Sales a 22 year old with a 2.71 era and more than 9 ks an inning in A ball. Finnegan had a 4.38 era when traded. Senzatela is better than that this year and playing for the Rockies could figure in more. Again there are only going to be a few quality relievers available and like 15 teams that want one. Prices are going to be crazy.
  12. I think all these deals are pretty good on value but I think all 3 have issues. I also think that we will see insane prices because I really only think there will be a few sellers. 1) I dont think the org would want a reliever at over 10 million for next year. I would be all for this deal and if I was in charge just retrade him in the offseason. My thought on value is that I would think the Mets get a top 100 prospect for him just based on scarcity. 2) Again I think your proposal is good and I personally would value Payne and Sproat as top 100 prospects. However they arent and I would think another team offers 2 current top 100 prospects. I would think the Twins would want Josh A in this one which I would have a hard time doing. 3) Again I think your true value is correct but I would guess the rockies get 2 top 20 prospects for Senzatela. Manfredi and Black would be help now guys for them but trade wise dont have a ton of value I would guess more like Black/Manfredi and O'Rae. I would be happy with any of these deals.
  13. I think Elvis Alvarado a reliever for the As could be a very Brewers add. He throws 99 with decent command, there are likely a couple small stuff tweeks to tunnel pitches. Also he doesn't get good extension for a 6'6" guy, which we would help with for sure. His ERA would suggest he wouldnt be crazy expensive. It is easy to see a Megill replacement there down the line.
  14. Josiah Ragsdale 2/3 with nuke and steal. Crazy good year Mayorquin with another solid 5 innings, definitely building some juice.
  15. If he isn't catching may as well send the bat to AA.
  16. Matt Wood and Tyler Rodriguez are vastly under-rated players at this point. Wood should get a AAA look soon, especially with Quero not catching recently. However he is slugging over .500 and he has 51 bb to 32 ks. Rodriguez is also walking more than striking out (did in 2025 as well). He has been great in a small sample in Appleton and is only 20. I doubt he will ever be a big prospect but in most orgs he would be an easy top 30 but for us probably borderline top 50 at the moment.
  17. Agreed, for example if Bitonti was in college I would think he would have been an easy top 20 pick. I am going to find it hard to put Ebel or Stosnider over him or even guys like Frias, Encarnacion, or the top 3/4 DSL guys.
  18. Its a bit early but Matos is trending towards a candidate to skip rookie ball and start 2027 in Wilson.
  19. Gasser only being worth 3.2 is a joke or just hasn't been updated in a year. Bitonti and a rule 5 guy we likely wont keep would be my guess (Kuehner?) would be closer to value. However with a weak market the Mets should get an overpay. I just dont see Singer being an upgrade over Gasser, Crow, etc.. Lodolo has enough stuff and upside that our staff could get him back to that solid 3 we've seen him. With the weaker market we are going to likely have to pay up to upgrade.
  20. I do think that we need to add a vet starter as our main need. However we can reduce some of the young starter work loads in other ways. Like we did with Misi last year we can just limit Henderson and Harrison (Sproat/Gasser). Options inclide using a 6 man rotation, piggybacking a multi-inning reliever and limiting them to 60-70 pitches occasionally, putting them in the bullpen the last month or so (especially if we add a vet), or just send to AAA for a couple very short starts. What about trading for Nick Lodolo from the Reds? We have traded with the Reds in recent history. He is on the IL for blisters but should be fresh for the run. He has 1.5 years so the Reds could move him for a solid return and gives us an upside starter. He would cost a decent package but probably not as much as Ryan, Soriano, or Detmers.
  21. Letson went 5 scoreless, I think after a rough 1st 7 or 8 starts it is safe to say he has turned it around.
  22. I am going to say Wilken has almost no trade value. I would guess to get a solid lefty like Raley or Minter it would be more like O'Rae and Wagoner. The market is going to have alot of demand so probably not to many cheap steals
  23. I think I would give Pena a week just to find some consistency hopefully. But I would be 100% good with Made to Nashville, Pena to Biloxi, Ebel to Appleton, and probably Hughes to Wilson tomorrow. That would also allow Trey Ebel a little time in Arizona before the season ends at the end of July (maybe to Wilson at the end of year).
  24. I like Watson but really dont want to give up any 1st round picks. A report i read said the nuggets want a Kessler style return.
  25. Franky gets a pass on any rough outings this year. With the accident just being on a diamond is more than enough. With a healthy offseason we can hopefully expect improvements for next year.
