    So I watch alot of games in which can't chose which teams broadcast to watch. The last two nights I have watched the Cubs broadcast. By no means are their commentators bad, however they way the deliver the game just makes my skin crawl. It is always a nice reminder how much better it is to be a Brewers fan.

    Harrison/Patrick May/Gasser Those seem like better opposing styles especially if someone loads up for a lefty or righty starter.

    If May or Harrison aren't right we probably have the arms to piece together a bullpen game or 2 with the likes of Drohan, Harrison, May, Gasser, Drohan, Hall, Ashby, and maybe even Sproat who could go max effort for 30-40 pitches or once threw the order for 2 games. It wouldn't be ideal but that 7 or 8 guys to get to Megill, Uribe, and Ashby (if not going earlier). I would be fine with Drohan being the #3 guy if need be however May and Harrison have the upside to go against whomever the Dodgers (or other team) throw better.

    I feel like the 2026 college bat class is really emulating the 2025 class. Strosnider has been terrific at Appleton like Fischer, the Ebel's path and result are similar, and Jones has been solid like Ragsdale. Throw in Sabathia for good measure.

    I am interested to see how our offense looks in a playoff atmosphere against a quality starter. We have been building momentum with the lumber and this could be a big momentum swing if things go really good.

    I think Made will be fine defensively, he is still a young 19. If infield doesn't work out he has the athletism and arm to be a great OF. There are probably only like 10 (if that) guys in the league I would consider trading Made for.

    It's really hard not to be optimistic about our world series chances right now. Just about everyone on the offense right now is hitting the ball well. Misi, Henderson, Harrison, and May looks like it should be able to hold its own in the playoffs. The bullpen has probably been the biggest strength for over a month and we will be getting back 2 of our better chess pieces within a week or so.

    The Cubs still have like the 4th or 5th best record in the league. They are a dangerous team, just no match for the Brew Crew.

    I'd like to see JD Thompson and Jacob Morrison on the pitching side. If Meccage is fully healthy he would be an easy send as well. There are a few arms like Epipscope and Russ Smith that I am not sure where they are on injury recoveries but could maybe make it there if healthy. Pena would be the best bat for sure, I kind of would like to see Adams go and maybe get some work in at 3B or even the OF just add some versatility to him as a platoon/bench player, I wouldn't mind someone like Daniel Dickinson going as well to learn some CF even though he played all year.

    News of some other teams prospects who will be in the AFL are starting to slowly trickle in. I figured it would be a nice discussion until we get news. I feel like there are good amount of pitchers who have missed a decent amount of time that are getting healthy.

    I would be really interested in a trade for Gavin Williams. The Guardians have a histroy of trading pitchers with control but haven't done it much the last couple years. However they need some offsense and getting someone like Williams for 3 years of control could be a huge win. Would something like Mitchell and Gasser be to a fair package? The Guardians get a good OF upgrade and a replacement starter we get the upside and have OF pieces to replace Mitchell selling high on a decent healthy season.

    As we approach September and the playoffs who do we think ends up being on our 28 man September roster and eventual playoffs. I think on the pitching side Uribe and/or Romero would be the easy adds however there are some AAA relief options. On the offense, usually catcher is the best bet. I believe Naylor has like 14 days or something to lose an extra year of control, so my guess would be Quero or Ramon Rodriguez. Lockridge otherwise probably is the best player but with the OF overload would be unlikely. Thoughts?

    If it really is only a bruise I wonder if May could be ready to start in a couple days and give give everyone an extra day? The IL wouldn't be the worst if it is only 10 days, he essentially would miss 1 start and we could Uribe or Romero up here easily. I would prefer maybe giving Cam Wagoner a cup of tea in the bigs though.

    It's only been around 100 ab's but it might be time to consider moving Antunez to Appleton. I think it would be a good challenge and it would get some attention from the national scouting scene sending an underated player hitting nearly .400 to High A as an 18 year old. Sure it would be easy to leave him in Wilson the rest of the way but the dude has raked. Dickinson also deserves a promotion, I get there is an IF log-jam ahead of him but maybe the consider him in CF??? His defense at 2B hasn't been great and he is athletic enough for CF or at least LF.

    The bullpen actually seems like it hasn't been overworked the last couple weeks. In large part due to great starting pitching and exceptional depth. That should be a huge advantage going into a playoff series, especially if we can take it easy on Ashby and Patrick a bit down the stretch.

    Any possibility of moving Yeli? I know it is a tough mountain to climb with him having 10/5 and being able to block trades. Especially since he is extra comfy in Milwaukee and even approaching him seems like a tough proposition. It would open up a ton of options for the offseason and adding a big bat or just retaining Bauers. In the past, I have proposed something along the lines of Trout to Phily, Yeli to Angels (prospects), and we get a Philly contract (last year was Bohm but that doesn't work, Realmuto???). I get that we probably dont want any of Phillies bad contracts back and Yeli wouldn't be interested in the Angels with how inept they have been. Just throwing out a starting point. Maybe that works better with the Padres, Giants, or Dodgers as a 3 team swap.

    (Using fielding bible) I know there is a lot more to defense that defensive run saves but it is the easiest to use. Turang leads the mlb in DRS at 20, next are Andy Pages 18 (on dl most of the rest of the way), Matt Chapman 16 (DL, only play 84 games, wow), Nasim Nunez 16 I would guess there is an extremely good chance Brice wins his 2nd Platinium Glove I doubt anyone else wins. Chourio is at +5 against Dylan Lile 9, Ian Happ 7, and Bryan Reynolds 6. So there is a chance. Hamilton (8) has been great at 3B but Chapman and Bregman 13 will be tough to beat. Had Pratt (4) or Lara (5) had more playing time they would have a good chance. SS Perdomo 8, Winn 8, Betts 8, Swanson 6 and RF Carroll 11, Suzuki 10. The same goes for Joey O because he has split 3 runs 3B, 2 2B but maybe at the utility. Thoughts?

    Pitcher1 by a hair because he is a year younger and i like starters with ks and good gb rated. However stuff would play really big into it. The stats kind of B indicated better stuff from #2.

    I think there could be a spot in the bullpen for Sproat as the September call-up. He could piggy back with Drohan and/or Harrison giving 2-3 innings. I could see a playoff game go Harrison 1 time round the order, Sproat 1 time, and Drohan or Patrick 1 time depending on if teams PH or have a righty or lefty dominant order. If Sproats stuff plays up a mph or two and he can edit his stuff down for max results 1 time through he could be huge. However that would be a big risk.

    Bitonti is super underrated, I like how Spencer and Jack brought up the Fischer vs. Bitonti comparision on the BF podcast. Fischer has the eye popping HR numbers but Bitonti has just as much power. Bitonti has more speed (SB at least) and most people think he is a better defender (I dont watch enough minors to be in the know). Also Bitonti is 2 years younger. Great night for some of our better pitching prospects.

    I like Watson but I wouldnt trade an unprotected 1st for him with our current roster. If we could have given up some player package I think getting him would have been a no brainer.

    That pretty clearly points to an international draft. Hopefully this doesn't hurt our international scouting advantage to much.
