  1. They should just ban Horst forever. Avoids a Klutch penalty, does the bucks a favor, and makes the league look like it is being tough.
  2. With the AL being so terrible it could really alter the market. The Red Sox, Tigers, O's, Jays, Twins, and Astros are close to the wild card. I cant really see any of those selling at this point unless the struggle the next couple weeks. The only obvious sellers are the Angels, Royals, Mets, Rockies, Reds, and Giants (maybe the A's, not much to sell after young untradeables). Demand is going to be crazy high.
  3. I dont know the numbers but could we potentially be up against the maximum amount of player limit? Again I dont know the numbers but if we sign 15 players or so I could see us being close. Maybe some guys coming off injury lists as well could count (dont know how IL works for minor leagues).
  4. I am pretty sure they just transferred him to the 60 day. I think that is just 60 days from when he originally was put in the IL. He has made 3 rehab appeareances, they just put him on the 60 to save a 40 man spot. Unless I missed an injury update somewhere.
  5. With the 2 arms from Houston I am willing to say we have enough pitching depth especially when Crow, Hall, and Rob Z are back from the IL. I will say we need to add at least 1 higher end arm.
  6. Interesting Knoth has been solid and the stuff is really good but I thought he wouldnt get any love from the propect community until next year. I think it is time for Braylon Payne to get on some top 100 lists. He has 17 HR ans 17 SB in 54 games at 19 in high A. Blake Burke also with a 20/20 season at his size is nuts.
  7. I wouldnt be to surprised to see him blossom even more in 2027 being a year removed from that surgery. This might be my favorite pick just based on the tools upside. Especially since he wasnt real highly ranked and likely wont be overslot. I kind of get a Marco Dinges feel to this pick.
  8. I cant believe we would give up much of anything and the Astros likely will pay almost all of the salary. I wouldnt be to surprised if he transitions to a reliever. He has a 5 pitch mix, if they could edit that to say 3 and get a mph or two with shorter stints there could be something there. His fip is just above 5 almost 2 runs less than era. He has good whiff and grounder rates, not much else. Making him a 1/2 inning reliever and getting rid of a problem pitch or 2 can hopefully highlight the good. Also getting a better fielding team should be huge.
  9. I think I am back on Detmers as my top target. I know it is hard to gauge the Angel's owner but I think we could get Detmers without giving up a top prospect. If we offered Dinges, Letson, and Crow that would be huge value return. We could maybe try and add a reliever like Kirby Yates in as well. As mentioned previously maybe put Jett for Dingesin and switch Letson to a lesser pitching prospect like Dorchies or a similar younger arm.
  10. 306 k's im 231 innings is pretty solid. With the higher era he kind of reminds me of Tyson Hardin. Hardin added a few mph after being drafted if I remember right.
  11. I love Yeli but if he were to be moved next offseason (I know 10/5 rights to refuse trade) It would make the 4 man OF easier especially if we have a solid 1B tandem and William as well. For this year, I like Lara getting as much CF as possible with Mitchell in RF and Sal as the 4th OF. If in say 100 abs that arrangement can be reassessed.
  12. I have heard the wink wink deal with Trent/Paul. That doesn't make it any better, it not as bad as the Kawhi stuff but for me it's close. I get not going back on a deal but this is one we should have told Trent and Paul no thank you.
  13. This is the worst signing in the history of the team. Horst needs to go now, Trent was trash last year and we have like 6 guards. Either Trent takes up valuable minutes from the young guys or he sits. If we needed to overspend we could have sign any big guy. Awful, Awful, Awful I was excited for a new beginning and this move has completely undone all of it.
  14. Jones seems a lot like a Ragsdale type player. Solid all around athlete with some potential to add power (6'3" 190). Garcia in the 4th seems like a perfect Brewers prospect, solid frame 92-97 heater and a 3k rev breaking ball. Sounds alot like Flores from last year to me.
  15. It might be a good time for Yeli to be "hurt" just take a couple weeks off around the break. It would give Vaughn, Lara, and Sal some more PT with the DH open.
  16. Strosnider is a great value in the 2nd. He has a ton of tools, probably fell because he hit under .300. Hopefully he can sign at or near slot. Very nice.
  17. Is Ashby starting to tire? I didnt watch game 1 but he has been missing middle middle alot it would seem. I am very excited that Yoho has stacked a couple really impressive appearances. Hopefully that can give him the staying power and earn some bigger situations.
  18. I dont mind the savings and we as anyone know what we are getting with Ebel. I think he is a guy we could have gotten in the 2nd and maybe saved a bit still. I think he has less of a ceiling than his brother. Overall it isn't close to my favorite pick but I can live with it, especially since it saves us money for later.
  19. I brought up Logan Webb and Gavin Williams recently, not that either are likely to be dealt. Joe Ryan could be a guy in that realm. I dont think I would put him in a deal for Detmers or Soriano but that would be close.
  20. To get a big time difference maker we would need to trade a top 50 prospect. We arent trading Made, Lara, or Pratt so Pena is really the only option again for a high end player. For a good player like Detmers Fischer or someone else can be the headliner but it likely has to be Pena lead to get Skubal or a different super high end player.
  21. I would only move Mitchell if it got us a top of the roatation controllable starter. Chourio, Lara, Mitchell is a sweet OF, if we did move Mitchell, Sal and Bauers are fine.
  22. Everything I've ever heard is that he is capable but doesn't get his feet set right/consistently on throws. I will say the brewers org (Matt Erickson I think) has done wonders turning Durbin and now Hamilton from weak arm 2B to plus 3B defenders. Maybe Adams could use some of that magic.
  23. My guess is that they know Hamilton will be back after the minimum 10 days. If Jett isn't ready (iffy) Jones makes more sense then Leonard if a different team claims them when sent back to AAA and they lose the 40 man spot. Leonard in AAA might be more valuable in case someone gets hurt. I get that's pretty iffy logic.
  24. Agree, they are going to try and trade Devers, Willy, Ray and Chapman maybe Lee. There wont be much left and likely none of those 4 guys are bringing back a huge return. I would offer something like Pena, Jett. Crow, and Letson for Webb that would be a pretty impressive haul I would think for SF to give them mlb players and a couple big upside prospects.
  25. With Harrison not being dominant and Woody likely done I think it is becoming clear we could use a vet starter for the playoffs. Logan Webb just went off on some reporters or something. He has 2 more affordable years and could be primed for a contender. It would take a pretty big package but he would fit really well.
