  1. A couple weeks ago he had a terrible call go against him in the botton of the 9th witha challenge remaining and he let that go too. Hes the anti-Gary Sanchez.
  2. Is he? Miz has the best "stuff" theoretically, but statistically hes actually not. This is awesome that there is even a debate.
  3. Caleb Durbin and Andruw Monasterio for the best P in baseball. Matt Arnold is a legend. He had to do it because the last ace he stole from the Red Sox is hurt.
  4. Ortiz plays the best D, followed by Hamilton. And Hamilton is the fastest and therefore asset as a pinch runner. Rengifo is clearly the 1st on the chopping block, IMO.
  5. I have to think Rock was somewhere watching that sequence on a loop.
  6. In between innings is when id DFA him.
  7. Rengifo might not be able to hit water if he fell out of a boat, but at least he's doing it with the glove.
  8. Just as long as one of those other teams that decides against trading with us isn't Boston. They gave our second best starter 2 years in a row.
  9. I know many view wins-losses as an antiquated stat. But if Ashby continues this pace (as a homer I have no reason to believe he wont) and goes 28-0 with an era around 2, Im going to use my non-existent Cy Young vote on him.
  10. I posted a couple times about Perkins, and Im thrilled at how well the Brewers have been playing. It doesn't have to be one or the other. For example, Misiorowski, Ashby, Harrison, etc. have been great and their pitching success has brought me joy as a fan. And I also want Woodford replaced. Just because they are in 1st doesn't mean they can't improve.
  11. Id bring up Williams and if he doesnt hit either you send him back down when Lockridge comes back. If he does hit you put him at 3rd and let Rengifo go when Lockridge comes back. Or Lara, either way, with also considering Mitchell's injury history, it would be nice what the have in CF begind him.
  12. If they bring up Williams or Lara to replace him, they would have to slash .138/.269/.207 in order in increase production by 40% across the bar.
  13. I'm ready for any combination of Lara/Pratt/Williams to replace Perkins and Rengifo. How much worse could they be?
  14. I think we can all agree that the Brewers have a great front office. With the market and payroll they've done an amazing job to keep the Brewers consistently competitive. But they are not perfect and dont need to be defended as such. Collins has been better than Perkins and Jones, guys getting AB's in his place. And Mears has been better than Zerpa. So far they obviously lost this trade. Its ok, you cant win them all. And there is no reason to pretend that they did.
  15. I wasnt a switch hitter but Id also hit from the right side and try to copy their stances when it was their turn in the lineup.

  17. As a lefty who turned 6 in 1982, he was my favorite player to emulate. I used to like to hold and wiggle my bat. Thanks for the article

  19. Upon further review (finding out he’s a Cardinals fan), I’ve dropped Small entirely from my prospect rankings, and replaced with with Boushley as the guy I want to see brought up if another spot opens in the rotation.

  21. Just a general comment on drafts. There will be quality players who will eventually contribute in the majors available at 27, 63, and decreasingly so at every pick after that. Its the GMs job to find those guys. "What do you expect at 27?" Doesnt work for me. Reaching is an overused term with an unknowing definition. What I mean by that is it assumed the guy could be had later. Well in the teams at 28, 29, and 33 were all going to draft a player, 27 isnt a reach, but who knows what the other teams will do. Also if a guy can play, lets say Baseball Americas 190th ranked player, and he gets drafted at 27 and said player becomes one of the top 27 plauers in the draft it isnt a reach. Technically a "reach" is any guy drafted that cant play. Height is the least of my concerns, this isnt the NBA or NFL, no one is jumping over you to make a play.
  22. I think Goodson counts as a late round RB. He was productive and test well athletically. I just read a list on NFL.com that has him ranked the best non drafted RB. I would not be surprised at all if he sticks.
  23. Looking at drop rates, Moore and Pickens have the best hands in the draft. Watson is a super athlete that can’t catch, which can be problematic for WRs.
  24. I think they are going to regret passing on Karlaftis twice, don’t hate their picks talent wise, but I think Karlaftis fell too far.
