    Even more so when they made no real moves in 2023 when they probably should have and then they get a new owner who seems just as cheap as the former owner. That honeymoon lasted a couple of months tops.

    Yelich remains in the top quartile in hard hit percentage but when you are one of four players with a negative launch angle, it hardly matters.

    I think last year was a version of fool's gold. They weren't supposed to be very good but ended up being a big surprise. Maybe they really weren't that good and it set up unrealistic expectations for this year. You lose Adames and Williams, the almost bankable regression from Yelich. Myers, Hudson and Koenig probably also belonged in the regression club. I felt this was a 78 win team so I'm not that surprised although what is going on right now is completely unwatchable and worse that even my low expectations.

    I agree that people think he was a better hitter than he really was. But he was decent pre-pandemic but was pretty much garbage in 2021.

    All they want to talk about is reinforcements are coming. Woodruff this, Civale that, Hall, Ashby blah blah blah. As much as I'm sick of hearing that, unless they are accompanied by the second comings of Molitor, Yount, Fielder and Braun, what difference is it going to make?

    Should have tried to steal home there. About the only chance of scoring.

    I thought $18 million for him was a gross overpay personally but I think I was in the definite minority. I haven't been convinced at all throughout this rehab process this year he would be anything close to resembling his former self either.

    Priester is nothing at all. Really dumb to trade for him without trying the three pretty obvious in-house options first.

    I'm pretty neutral on Murphy myself. It's so very easy for us fans to critique moves made by the manager and blast him when they don't work out. He's been handicapped by having some pitchers that are completely unreliable over the course of the season. Death Valley on the left side of the infield, etc. Went to Bauers to pinch hit for a guy who can't hit in Ortiz with the sacks juiced and it doesn't work out and then gets blasted for having a guy in Capra come to plate later on who shouldn't be on a MLB team. How is that his fault? Bauers gets a hit and Murphy's a genius and who cares that Capra gets a late at bat. Doesn't work and he's a buffoon.

    I actually thought the right call was made here. Looked to me like he checked where the fielder was, then veered left to get in the way, lifted the hand up and then had to make a sharp cut right to even touch 2B.

    Rodgers and Murphy aren't comparable. The players hated Rodgers.
