  1. Motley Crew - Home Sweet Home It's a piano at the beginning, not a guitar but it builds up pretty well. First one that comes to mind.
  2. I would really love Morgan...doesn't seem to make much sense from the Nats side though.
  3. The lot off Bluemound, where we always park, has no more than 12 port-a-potty.s It's completely absurd. Especially for a game like Opening Day, when the lot is completely full. They leave you with all really poor choices: 1 - wait in a line at least 20 deep 2 - walk all the way over to Helfair field and back 3 - climb the hill or go in the parking lot They really need to address it, it's absurd to think that 12 bathrooms are enough for the ten thousand or so fans that are parked out there. Who has info on renting a port-a-potty?
  4. How much does it cost to rent a port-a-potty? Any ideas? And where would i get it from? As far as game goes, black bear is pretty good, not too gamey. But Bernie is right, absolutely don't want to overcook it.
  5. Their defense has left much to be desired the last few games. Giving up very high shooting percentages, making some silly fouls and just really not defending all the great in general. They have had a problem with the high pick and roll for years. Any team that can do this effectively is going to be a huge problem for WI in the tournament.
  6. Last year's weather was awesome. It was like 70 and sunny and then it snowed like 2 days later. That was great. Hopefully this year can be the same. We don't do anything too exciting, but I do make the beer bath for all the brats to simmer in - beer, butter, kraut (and garlic if i remember)....when the brats are just about done, dump them in there (on the grill) for ten mintues or so. Delicious. We usually just play bags and things like that.
  7. Yes, please do so. I would be happy to attend such an event. Please let me/us know if you hear anything about that this summer!
  8. I think Marquette really only needs to win 1 more game to get in. Preferably over Cincinatti, but winning one of their last two, or winning a game in the Big East tournament will probably be enough. The bubble sucks (see the MSU argument above) and while Marquette has a lot of losses, none of them are in the "bad" category yet. They also have some big wins that a lot of other bubble teams simply won't have: Georgetown, ND, Syracuse and at Connecticut. As for the other teams, Wisconsin seems like a lock to be in the 3-5 range. A #2 isn't impossible but they'd have to likely beat OSU and make the conference finals. UWM still has it's work cut out for them, the top of the Horizon is very evenly matched in my opinion, though they do have the benefit of being at home. The nice thing about winning the title is that they are now in as the Horizon winner in all the projections. Almost all of them have them as a 14 or 15 seed.
  9. Heck of a game between Milwaukee and Youngstown State. 25+ ties and lead changes. Milwaukee missed a go ahead FT with 15 seconds left, then YSU missed two point blank shots, including one that I still can't believe didn't go in at the buzzer. Milwaukee took control in OT though and wound up prevailing!! Second game in a row they missed some FT's down the stretch but hung on for a 7 point win and the Horizon League regular season title. Pretty cool. Puts them as the #1 seed in the conference tournament, which they will now host and get a bye into the semi-finals!!
  10. And I didn't see it, but Milwaukee won in Cleveland State, 87-83. Win in Youngstown State now (in dead last) and they have a share of the title at worst. That's pretty cool. Not sure how the seeding would go as it could be a four way tie, but being the #1 in the Horizon tournament is a huge deal. Anyone know how that would shake out?
  11. The call was terrible, really too bad Gus Johnson wasn't announcing. I agree that he seemed to definitely be cheering for Michigan. Played poorly, shot poorly on the road again but got a lucky W. We'll take it but that's going to need to improve in a few weeks. You can't score 50 points, shoot only 35%, allow the opponents to shoot over 50% and expect to win in March. Hopefully they can take some Kohl Center magic on the road with them. Marquette with a huge win over Connecticut tonight on the road. Looked bad for awhile, but they pulled it out and are off the bubble (for now at least).
  12. You hate to see anyone get hurt, but if that's true...it SIGNIFICANTLY helps the Brewers playoff hopes.
  13. For anyone that still has a code and can only get "obstructed view". If you purchase them, I would be happy to buy them from you for above the asking price. Lots of my buddies want to go, more for the atmosphere, less for the games, so obstructed view would be fine.
  14. Waukesha Sports Cards is having private signings with Woodson and Desmond Howard. Though the Woodson prices are extremely high. He signed with Jeffs Sports last year, I got a 16x20 (with photo) for less than 100 bucks last fall. Now, the cheapest auto is $199 I believe. The info is on their website.
  15. If anyone finds Woodson signing anywhere, please let me know. I got him at Jeffs Sports for less than 100 last year, probably going to be absurd if he signs again but I really want a jersey signed. I agree on Nelson, that's why it's so astounding to me. He was a third WR all year, that had a good Super Bowl, that's it. He's not Greg Jennings, he's not anywhere near Antonio Freeman at this point either.
  16. I understand it to some degree, and I'm sure people will pay it but some of those prices are absurd. I want SB stuff signed and whatnot, but I'll wait until the summer I guess.
  17. I really can't figure out how Jordy Nelson can possibly be $69. That's absurd. For the same money or less (at the same show), you could get any of the following guys (I stayed with just football): Kellen Winslow, Emmitt Thomas, Arian Foster, John Kuhn, Desmond Bishop, Jermichael Finley, Mike Singletary, Mike Ditka, Jim McMahon, Gale Sayers, Dick Butkus, BJ Raji, James Starks, Joe Greene, Sam Sheilds, AJ Hawk, Brian Bulaga and many other very good baseball and basketball players. It makes absolutely no sense to me. Many of the above are 30 bucks, so you could get two for the price of Nelson. One big game in the Super Bowl and he's suddenly 70 bucks for an autograph? Just seems absurd. Also, I didn't get an email with the exact details yet but it appears that Legends of the Field is going to have a bunch of Packers in. It's sort of annoying that many of the players are private signings now, not just big guys either. When I was younger, I met guys like Favre, Jennings, etc and those signings weren't private. Now, virtually everyone is a private signing. Legends is having Frank Zombo in store on the 21st. It's also having all of the following guys in a private signing on March 13: Driver (100), Raji (50), Starks (50), Hawk (60), Kuhn (40), Sheilds (30), Bulaga (40) Hard to believe some of this, not only is Starks (he of about 5 games) a private signing, he's also 50 bucks. The guy might very well wind up as a backup next year and I can't meet him for 50 bucks? I"m probably overlooking something here but the prices are just absurd to me.
  18. This is probably a longshot, but might as well check it out. I'm looking to buy 2 or 4, but really need just 2 tickets for the Super Bowl. If anybody has some they'd like to part with (not sure why), please let me know. Thanks. I am in the Milwaukee area but would drive to meet somewhere to get them, can pay in cash.
  19. Scaring my 4 month old daughter by yelling at the TV when the Packers win a Playoff game with a last second interception....done it twice now. Scared the crap out of her, this last time she was upstairs too. Whoops.
  20. It's tough to complain or say anything even remotely negative about Trevor. Yes, he struggled last year and it really put the Brewers in a hole in April, but the way he handled it....kept his head high, helped Axford in any way he could, really showed what kind of man he is. When virtually everyone that played with him or knows him has nothing but good things to say: how great a teammate he was, how he was a leader, a classy guy, etc. He'll go down as one of the all time great closers, even if Rivera passes him (which seems likely but you never know, he could lose it one year too). I think it's pretty cool that he was a Brewer, it's not like we have too many HOF players that were Brewers - even if only for a couple of years. Maybe it was just me, but the true indicator of just how much people think of Trevor was just watching the crowd when he entered. Everyone in the stadium stood, sang along with Hells Bells and gave him a standing ovation - for a good 2-3 minutes...EVERY time. His presence just made you watch. I was there for his first game as a Brewer and I was there for #598 or #599, I can't remember but it was cool none the less. I hope when the Padres visit next year, or for any game really that they bring him back at some point for a first pitch. Since he'll likely be a HOF (though this is no gurantee, though I think he belongs), do you think the Brewers will retire his jersey number? It was only 2 years here....I think they will though. Now that he's done, I'm going to have to find a way to get an autographed picture of him being carried off the field (or something from #600) signed with a 601 inscription.
  21. I'm pretty sure I have a couple of the towels they gave out, says something like "2008 Playoffs" or something of that nature. What exactly are you looking for? I have a thunderstick or two as well, though I'm not sure if they actually hold any air at this point or not.
  22. There are so many great episodes of the show, it's really hard to narrow it down to just a few. Though I would agree that other than a few funny Festivus moments, that episode was kinda blah for me. My top 5, very quickly and in no particular order: 1. Merv Griffin set/Jerry drugging his GF to play with her Toys. More heavy gravy and wine? What's that thing in turkey that makes you sleepy? Triptafan...I think. 2. Marine Biologist 3. The Voice - "Helllllloooo. Lalalaa". Jerry's GF makes him choose the voice or her, George gets "fired" for not being handicapped yet still goes to work and Kramerica Industries develops the oil balloon/diaper and Elaine and Puddy get back together, sorta. All around good episode with all the characters. 4. The Contest 5. The Puffy Shirt - "But I don't wanna be a Pirate". George becomes a hand model as well. They use a clip from this at Miller Park when we play the Pirates, gets me every time. I also really like Bizarro Jerry, not because it was overly funny, it was just a neat concept for one show I thought. For those of you that haven't seen this, this is a fun game to waste some time at work: http://www.tbs.com/stories/story/0,,98009,00.html 5.
  23. Is DeFelice healthy again? I know we signed him to a minor league deal. When he was healthy two seasons ago, he seemed to really be able to get right handers out very well. Seemed like someone that would have a shot to find his way into the bullpen if healthy.
  24. The Jordan picture looks nice, the one with just him. Can you message me and let me know what you're looking to get for it? Thanks.
  25. Do you have pictures of any of this stuff? I'd be interested in some of it. I sent you a PM also.
