  1. Actually...in my experience deer hunting (not going this year due to two little kids in the house), snow isn't a bad thing. Sure, it'll be cold, but a little snow on the ground makes it MUCH easier to track deer. Very easy to see red in show as opposed to gross, mud, etc.
  2. I know this forum is generally used for sports memorabilia, but I have a WPT Poker table that's just taking up space in my house and needs to go. Here's the Craiglist offering. http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/spo/5191500056.html
  3. Braun has been playing well of late, all season really, but I certainly wouldn't put him at 3b. Move him to first if you want to move him. That said, I see a very small chance he gets to 30/30. It's not impossible but he still needs 5 more HR and 8 (I think?) more SB in the next 23 games (and that's assuming he doesn't take a single day off). He certainly could do it, but he hasn't hit HR like that all season really, nor has he run that much. I guess he can just start running every time he reaches 1b, but I don't see it. I'd say he finishes at 27 and 25.
  4. Our only shot would have been an extension while he was still signed. It seemed like we were making progress on one and he was actually considering it and then a Giant (I think Matt Cain??) got a huge deal, and Greinke's price then sky rocketed.
  5. This was key. I try to avoid the wrestling rumors, but they show up on Yahoo half the time and it's inevitable. The fact that the Dudleys came back and virtually everyone was surprised was awesome. Just doesn't happen these days. And I love the New Day stuff. They needed someone good to go against (after Kidd went down), the Dudleys should do that for them hopefully.
  6. I'm seeing Kirby has a sore left elbow. I'm sure that'll end well.
  7. I thought SS was pretty horrible. Two main events that both have stupid endings. I thought RAW was pretty good. LOVED the return of the Dudleys. Man did that bring me back. Was cool to see Sting again too - though I'm curious where they go with him. I'm hoping he beats Rollins (so he can say he was a WWE champion). Then have Shaemus cash in MITB. And potentially have this couple with an eventual Rollins face turn - so he can chase his title back. Rollins is great as the smarmy guy, but I think it really overshadows his actual wrestling ability. I was also hoping for an Ambrose heel turn, but instead we got another Wyatt member (and not Bo Dallas, who I've been hoping for big time there). Guess that means Ambrose/Reigns eventually find a third - though there aren't any obvious members that I can see.
  8. I apologize...I don't follow everyone that closely. What happened?? Is it public knowledge?
  9. Cotts isn't making much, so I'm not sure we'd let him go for nothing....but probably almost next to nothing. Any prospect of any kind would get the job done I think.
  10. I don't know why they didn't send him. I feel like he could have scored pretty easily. I had zero faith in Lucroy driving him in. And then a two base error and a broke bat flare lead to another run. I shouldn't be upset, I'm actually ok with us losing and getting a higher pick. But it's frustrating to watch.
  11. I doubt many are watching, but this is a frustrating game to watch. Virtually none of the Cubs hits have been hit hard. They just keep being a foot out of reach, or falling in the right spot. They've even hit groundballs that we couldn't turn two on a few times because they weren't hit well enough. Just the way the game goes sometimes I guess.
  12. Guilmet's MLM numbers aren't exactly stellar. Anyone have any insight on him?
  13. Thornburg also recalled. Still have one more roster spot open with Broxton now gone too.
  14. Well...who's next (where's Goldberg when you need him??). Cotts is really the only one left that I think we should definitely trade. Though he could be an August guy too certainly.
  15. Adam McCalvy ‏@AdamMcCalvy · 2m2 minutes ago #Brewers announce Broxton to STL for OF Malik Collymore, and are sending cash along with Brox, as expected. Amount unknown. Anyone know anything about him??
  16. If we can get the "plus arm" type for Cotts, I'd jump all over it. The prospect may never amount to much but it's better than nothing.
  17. Even if it's just salary relief, any player at all we got back for him is an added bonus. Whoever it is will likely never reach MLB, but you never know. We got Blazek for Axford in a similar situation, so anything is possible. Better question is why the Cards even want him? Unless they know their magic potion can fix him immediately?
  18. All but guaranteed to happen at this point. And it'll still irritate the crap out of me.
  19. Jerry Crasnick ‏@jcrasnick · 3m3 minutes ago Jonathan Broxton going to #STLCards in a trade. Can't imagine we got anything back for him, but it's salary relief. And he'll be a Cardinal and return to his 1.5 ERA form he had before getting here.
  20. Guess not: Jonathan Broxton going to #STLCards in a trade.
  21. Having moved our top 4 sought after players at this point, are the Brewers done making moves today? I realize there could still be August waiver trades as well. Cotts would really be the only pending FA left that teams MIGHT want. Lind maybe too, but I haven't seen much about him and I'd imagine we just exercise his option for next year. Same thing with K-Rod. It's hard to imagine anyone wanting Lohse or Broxton - even for free. Thoughts?
  22. Sure seems like we caved on our asking point. Better than nothing I guess.
  23. @Ken_Rosenthal: Source: #Orioles closing in on #Brewers’ Parra. Deal expected to be Parra for RHP Zack Davies, straight up.
  24. Even if he took the offer....is it really that bad? Sure it's an overpay for next season, but we should have plenty of payroll available - ramirez, Gomez, broxton and lohse are all of the books for sure. And if Parra duplicates this next year, we can still trade him then. There's also the chance he doesn't take it and we get the pick. All that said....I'd still try to move him today.
