  1. I think RHP Josue Toledo is going to want this outing back. Just a hunch.
  2. More than fair given the recent vet additions. 'Middy' hasn't been right all season with Nashville, honestly. He's likely going to need a second half rebound performance in the vicinity of 2024 RHP Blake Holub to get back in the good graces with the Brewers player development team.
  3. Let's keep riding that Spencer train. RHP Tyler Renz commentary via the Brewers PD cut-up: Let us remember, we might be seeing RHP Hayden Robinson's ACL return tomorrow! 🫣
  4. Lost in all this discussion today: That's a pretty dang solid High-A debut for LHP Sam Garcia. I spent my afternoon down at the Spokane Indians hosting the Hillsboro Hops. I really quite like what LHP Konner Eaton is working with. He would benefit working with the Brewers. The Rockies should just give him to us 🤗
  5. Don't look now (because I'll tell you here): The Sounds gained another game on Lehigh Valley today. They are now 4.5 GB with two series remaining in the first half. I believe (kind of 😁)
  6. Beach Chickens is absolutely one of my fave Brewers affiliate alternates. Personally, I am all aboard the 'Hawaiian Shirt': So choice.
  7. You certainly may be right. We'll just have to wait and see. It certainly wouldn't surprise me to see it (Nashville promotion) in the second half. As Jim said, I think he is about as guaranteed as you get for a 40-Man Add given what he's doing on a start-by-start basis.
  8. Yeah I've been thinking 80-90 IP. 100 IP would not surprise me given he likely has two more starts to end his first half. Let's hope so!
  9. Man RHP Christian Welch's season has pretty much been a quagmire. 7 BB tonight? Yikes.
  10. Not necessarily. You have to remember he last threw competitive in innings in 2023 before his TJ. And he only threw 24 innings that year. Hard to know what the Brewers are thinking. But I can only imagine given what they are seeing they'll want to be somewhat conservative - responsibly building up his stamina. Not pushing him too quickly. The main thing is he is loudly announcing his Rule 5 protection status to the org. He just needs to stay healthy.
  11. With back-to-back shutouts the Sounds are suddenly 5.5 GB Lehigh Valley with two series to play in the first half. Getting mildly interesting!
  12. Coleman Crow: 6 IP, 1 H, 9 K. 0 BB, 0 R Stud. Shuckers lead 8-5 top of 9.
  13. If you are going solely for prospect discourse, I'd personally start sooner - ie in the 1 hr 20 minute mark. Spencer takes some listener questions on prospects within there with some fun Spencer insights. Fwiw.
  14. Tip of the cap to INF Daniel Guilarte. He has hit two absolutely key pro sac flies to plate key RBI's of late vs these Kernels (has four SF on the season). That was a pro's pro sac fly. 1-1. Men on the corners. One down. 2-2 game bottom of 9. How about I golf shot this lil beauty to the deep CF warning track?!? Just awesome to see. You may not know it if you aren't watching the games and you just look at his raw offensive numbers (not pretty): he has played much better overall baseball of late. It's small steps with these young players sometimes. I definitely am noticing. Man, if he could somehow find any semblance of an average hit tool...as is, I will appreciate his plus defense and cannon arm and the small incremental improvements. In limited May/June AB he has put together just a much better overall approach to identifying balls and strikes. Hopefully, this is a start of a slow turn toward more productivity.
  15. The calendar flipped to May and the outings have been fairly unkind for RHP Bryan Rivera. He came aboard up 4-3. Still in the game top of the 6th and the Mudcats trail 7-4. Lead off man aboard. Not looking good.
  16. DSL Brewers Gold are 1-3 and have lost by a combined 3 runs? I'll take the Over. Hard not to be highly intrigued by early Rijo and Tarazona work over on the Blue Squad.
  17. Was there ever really a doubt 2025 Dikember wasn't going to allow at least one run there via WP or HB? Grateful he only gave up one.
  18. Man this is a massive spot for RHP Dikember Sanchez. Can we insert a quarter and buy the 2024 version? Quick someone ask Chris Edwards!
  19. Tonight. In my Man Cave...with my wife and daughter in Scotland...I will he watching episodes of: The prospect loss and love struggle is real. 😅
