    Was wondering the same. Did anyone see him leg out his double? Did he pull up or show any signs of anything?

    I wouldn't even say it took him awhile. Two absolutely freak injuries killed serious momentum in High-A. Had a solid AFL. Then a wasted season with a completely broken set-up and swing. He simplified in the off-season and appears to be back to the player we thought he was in the early going. Lottttta season left so he is in no way out of the proverbial woods but his innate talent is why he was an easy comeback player choice for me before the season started. It's really awesome to see him experience success again. Last season was what it was: a confused baseball 'disaster'. But it was only one season. The same can likely be said for Wilken if he can keep the momentum going. Good signs early from both.

    If my eyes do not deceive me OF Adam Hall, with two more K in 3 AB today, is sitting at roughly a 50% K Rate on the season? I've stated he looks overmatched. He does indeed look overmatched. I don't know how long this experiment lasts.

    Yeager has really been incapable of carrying over his Winter League momentum in the early going. I can't help but notice his arm looks tired at present. Maybe he will need a reprieve at some point? OR perhaps he is simply trying to accommodate ye ol Shuckers maxim "Never doth a victory come easy in the Land of Oysters.".

    Fantastic report Jim. Did Adams not tie the Miller-vs-Adams HBP Face-Off 1-to-1 earlier in the season? They took it away?!? Blasphemy. Sadly, this is one of the only things I'm truly tracking early in Biloxi. You know how I feel on greater Shuckers universe at present so no need to harp on that here. Here's hoping they turn it around and go on a run.

    That Mudcats game was wild. That is all. Just wild. Great interview with manager Victor Estevez. That is the deepest we've gotten into his time with the T-Rats - truly great questions and inquiry from Chris Mehring. As Jim points out: be sure to give it a listen. He astutely mentions Areinamo, in normal weather, likely has four long balls in this series and they like what they're seeing with Jadher's pitch recognition and discernment early (for those of you not aware, the discourse has leaned that the Brewers want him to work on pitch recognition and swing decision specifically). I would also point out, from my own vantage point Burke has been hitting the ball fairly hard consistently in this series but he's a bit in a low line drive poked right to someone classic baseball funk bit of bad luck. He also continues to play a fantastic 1B. Hopefully, he can start launching balls. Yophery's reaction to the trade news is what we would come to expect given his make-up as a young man. He truly is a wonderful young man. Lovely to hear Estevez give Nicasia some shine too. This interview with Estevez is going to become a Friday Road Series regular thing. That is awesome.

    Castillo is always prone to strikeouts where ever he plays but, yes, he looks like he has no plan and is overmatched. Also, Baez CS? Shocker. BUT, the more important ? there is: You KNOW Castillo has legit HR power. And you have a catcher throwing out everyone this entire season. Why are you stealing there? Baez continues to be a very talented frustrating player.

    Oh hey another casually absurdly difficult play by Jadher Areinamo made to look absurdly routine. Unreal. The announcer is just gushing over hime.

    Manfredi has struggled to get outs since late last season. The AFL appears to have broke him. It's a real bummer. Hoping he can rediscover that promise from early 2024.

    Boy these Pelicans are having a brutal time tracking fly balls tonight. Just hit in the air and it's a 50/50 proposition it might hit the grass.

    Boy did Burke just make a beautiful run-saving dig on a bang-bang grounder to Baez. His throw was a heater and it super short hopped. No matter, Burke is really just savvy over there. He digs it. Saves the run. 1-1 game and the T-Rats will bat top of 7.

    Reyes suffers the unfortunate luck of what looked like a 20 mph swinging dribbling bunt up the 1B side putting his second runner aboard and he's now walked the next batter on four pitches. Bases juiced. One down. Things suddenly shaky at Myrtle Beach and in Quad Cities.

    I will absolutely never get over the infield umps standing at 2B being called on to affirm or deny check swing strikes at home base. It never ceases to amaze me that is the best we can do. And it certainly looks like that same ump just blew a CS call at 3B against the T-Rats. AND that cost them. In a full count, the batter pokes one past the diving Baez. Wasn't hit all that hard. Sigh.

    Flores brought on to face a lefty walks his first batter from a full count.

    Really nice 1-2 hitting from BItonti here. May not result in anything. And, it did not, he flew out to RF. BUT that was a really nice lefty-on-lefty AB, regardless. Fouled some off-speed off. Professional AB.

    The T-Rats keep trying to steal on Quad Cities' catcher and they keep failing to successfully swipe the bag. Areinamo (BB) was just thrown out going for 3B by a good three feet - not even close. On to the bottom of the 6th. 1-0 T-Rats.

    Fantastic work from Reyes who gets a jam shot dribbler right to 1B. Meccage sees no more unsightly damage to his ERA and Reyes strands three.

    Walked another that apparently just missed. Big swooping breaker on the upper corner. Probably just outside. Faced nine batters and he'll be pulled. Rough showing. Lost everything arm side. No control of the release point.

    Meanwhile, Letson looks incredible. Absolutely filthy.

    First pitch heater dead center. Two score. Relay throw sails to the dugout to 3B and another scores. RBI double. Second of his inning. 5-3 Muddies. That was a really poor airmailed throw from Adamczewski. Looked like the ball just absolutely sailed on him.
