We don't have that information at this time. I think the real question is: Is this a re-aggravation of the previous injury from the original July 9th IL? He was gone nearly a month and then only managed to play for less than 3 weeks upon return on August 1st. Either way, it was significant enough the org felt it more appropriate to call his season. -

Well, that's the thing. I am unsure if you understand (if you do, apologies in advance) that the International Player Pathway program allows the Packers to automatically carry him the entire season as an allocated 17 PS member. In other words, he is on the team because of the IPP and he doesn't need to change his status. They still have 16 open spots on the PS.

Paredes throwing some smoke tonight, I see: Gotta love it. That's early season Paredes right there. Fuego.

With the win the Shuckers move back to five games above 0.500 in the second half at 26-21. They trail Montgomery by 1/2 G but because Montgomery won the first half, the Shuckers really lead Mississippi by 1.5 G for that coveted second half playoff berth. Pensacola has lost three straight and are now 2.0 G back the Shuckers. AND, as I've been saying for the past week, because the bullpen has been so dang good for so long - despite their recent woes - they still are second in the entire Southern League in run differential at a +53 for the second half. I don't know how I feel about any of this. The Shuckers have been painful to watch for two weeks running now. Just grateful for a 'W'.

Holub escapes! Inside heater jammed the hitter and it was a weak ground out to Brown at SS. The Shuckers snap an 8-game losing streak vs the Barrons. That's the first win of the series and the first win all season vs the Barrons. AND only the second win over the past week. Let's take that puppy and run to the showers. Whewwww!

Holub spikes his first pitch about 18" before the plate and it miraculously is blocked by Miller. Sheeeesh. Runners stay. Collective mound visit after that lawn dart.

Men on 2nd and 3rd now after a bloop single and then a first pitch two out liner to the LF/CF gap. Barrons best hitter to the dish. Eeeek.

I continue to absolutely loathe EBJ's swing. It is a current disaster. There is just entirely too much going on and the timing has to be absolutely spot on with his body moving in at least three directions. It makes zero sense. Ugh.

Fly out to LF to end the Barrons' 8th. That was a very efficient inning of work. I would imagine he'll come back out for the ninth. Mowed down 3 lefties with relative ease.

Holub is sitting 97 mph. Two up. Two down so far - ground out to SS and 3B.

O'Rae is stranded after Miller goes down looking at a 12-6 hook dead center. Scott flies out to LF. On to the bottom of the 8th. 7-5 Shuckers.

O'Rae's magical lead-off night continues in the 8th with his 3rd single. He also has two free passes. On base every time he's come to the dish. He's also stolen two bags.

Big out by Bowman in the bottom of the 7th. He gets his 4th K to escape with a man on 2B (BB). Shuckers lead 7-5. I think I need to keep calling out Dylan O'Rae in my reports 🤭. Fantastic rebound effort. THIS is what a lead-off man of his ilk needs to do and he is absolutely 'doing it'.

Broca buckles down and gets a K swinging on consecutive hook curves at the upper part of the zone - first looking and second swinging as he threw it just above the inner and upper part of the zone left-on-lefty. 6-5 Muddies and a 3-0 series lead.

WIth a man on 2B. Two down. 6-5 lead. Broca gives up an absolute swinging nubber bunt to the 3B side. He made an attempt at the play and missed. Baez had hesitated and then got the ball and no play was to be made. Men on the corners. Welcome to Low-A Mr. Broca. 😅

Just a random observation: We haven't seen 3B Brock Wilken or OF Yoshwar Garcia since last week's series.

They've lost 7 straight at Great Lakes daring back to 2022. It. Is. Time.

Muddies put up a four-spot in the 2nd and just added another by way of C David García's 2nd 2B of the early going. 5-0 lead as they back RHP Josh Knoth in his second consecutive solid start (3 IP, 1 H. 0 BB, 3 K).

Good grief! 🥺 Two consecutive seasons Boeve has been put on the shelf multiple times and during a playoff push no less. Not an ideal trend. Let's hope he can get to the bottom of these ongoing nagging injury issues. -
