  1. Man I am reminded of how much I love the picking pace of Day 2. This is glorious. 😅
  2. A Made error (his 4th of his season - fielding) allowed the tying run to score after a double put Goryl men on 2nd and 3rd. It was a key error as a ground out to 2B for the second out allowed the leading run to score in the ensuing AB. It's now 5-4 Goryl with two down and a man on 2B. This back-and-forth tilt amongst two of the best teams in the DSL continues.
  3. Another Pena triple (4 on his season). Another Ortuno dub (6 on his season). The DSL Crew Uno have taken a 4-3 lead into the bottom of the 7th as they fight for their 10th consecutive Win. Can they pull it off? After the DSL Padres Gold tied it up 1-1 in the 6th, the DSL Crew Dos have added 5 more runs over the past two frames. They lead 6-1 in the top of the 9th frame. Have I mentioned how absolutely stoked I am about this collective group of talent amongst both teams. I mean we have headliners and we have depth in this greater collection of talent. So many intriguing bylines to the headliners.
  4. Some context should be put on what we are seeing here. Let me add a Spencer tweet to help us all along: Yowza is a word I might use next.
  5. I won't go back. Only looking forward. No time but the present! ** I'm obviously kidding **
  6. So, a pre-draft physical with the teams themselves? Does it somehow have to be sanctioned by an MLB-specified doctor (or team of doctors)? Not being a CBA nuanced person, I guess I'll learn more after the slot bonus official announcements?
  7. Good barometer test for the (19-8) DSL Uno today - winners of 9 straight games, they face the (19-9) Cleveland Goryl Currently in the early going and the Crew are trailing 2-0. Made has a poke and 2 SB so far.
  8. I think @wiguy94was bringing up a new wrinkle in the CBA that MLB physical participants qualify for 75% of their slot money. To that tune, if this is indeed accurate (and I have no reason to think it is not given who is sharing this info), I do believe Payne qualifies for more money.
  9. Man, just look at how athletic and with such good extension Levonas. I just love this pick.
  10. Which, as we know, is the deepest pool of talent already in the entire system. The Brewers are absolutely already stacking their next wave years down the line.
  11. He legitimately has five pitches to work with. AND, he throws a cutter (which we know the Brewers love). This is my favorite upside pick so far. Just a really toolsy guy with massive upside.
  12. Ohhhhhh love Levonas. Great extension. Nice shape. Lower arm slot. Classic Brewers. High spin in there too. Fun!
  13. Yep. Quite a bit bigger. Different arm slot. But, certainly in that mold.
  14. Oh he'll be underslot. The real question is how much? He could very very easily go $2M under (or more). That was a set-up pick. Fun tools. Uber-young. Consensus would indicate they can go for more upside and value throughout the next picks.
  15. Yeager has been really good in his Closer role since he scuffled with back-to-back outings allowing three-run jacks (6/25 & 6/29 vs Pensacola). In July, he is off to a 5 outing scoreless streak. 6 1/3 IP, 2 H, 0 BB, 0 HB, 7 K, 0 R. In this current run of dominance, opponents are hitting an absolutely woeful 0.100 BAA with a ridiculous 0.32 WHIP. Yeah baby!
  16. We are t-minus under an hour before Rounds 1 and 2 get underway for the MLB Draft. We are about to overreact to four new prospects today 🥰
  17. O'Rae with a 5 BB and 0 K day has his BB:K ration back to a very sightly 18:24. Can his bat speed and contact rate improve? Time will tell but we'll take five free passes in the lead-off spot any day of the week (especially with his speed and overall threat on the base paths). Keep grinding, young man!
  18. After the first Summer League game, I was pretty enthused by the performances of the young Bucks - AJ Johnson and Tyler Smith both flashed. Their Two-Way (Rollins) showed promise. After the first half of the second game, I never want to watch this team play again 😅. I can not believe the lazy rebound-less, turnover-prone, no hands, effortless basketball I just witnessed. I have seen a lot of bad Bucks SL basketball over the years - it's almost a given. BUT, this? This is the absolute worst I've ever seen. A-Jax looks unplayable. Marjon has regressed (if that's even possible at this point). TyTy is just not a good player. Galloway has absolutely zero business holding down an NBA two-way. This team, simply, is egregiously bad.
  19. Right?!? I was like: "Hold up!" He's really having a great season for himself. He's been a professional for almost a decade now. Major kudos.
  20. Looks at Sounds Box score. "That RHP Trey Supak?!" •Yes, indeed. That RHP Trey Supak!" Good for him. That's a heck of an outing to seal the game for the Cubs.
  21. Henderson struggles mightily. Cargo hits a solo jack. Definitely had this on my Saturday Bingo card. Yup.
  22. Walling looks like a player who was promoted to Low-A and asked to play a position he never played. He has not been very good at 1B - and, I don't blame him...he literally has zero experience there.
  23. Good grief, this homeplate ump has been atrocious. Even when he calls strikes I detest his slow deliberate motion. No consistency. Brutal.
