  1. Brailin running into two out trouble here in the 5th frame. Walked a guy after ahead 1-2 in the count. Just saw a single ripped into shallow LF. Men on 1st and 2nd. Two down. He'll have to dig deep. Bullpen is active with Nova beginning to throw. He's 2-0 on the next batter.
  2. Henderson just saw an inside high heater oppo lined for a lead-off dub to open his 4th frame. Still 0-0. Meanwhile, in Wisco we are still 1-0 T-Rats. Bottom of the 2nd frame.
  3. 100% agree. Way too much easy contact. The velo is up but that heater is extremely hittable. It doesn't move. Very easily sat on. My opinion is: he needs to keep working and keep improving the shape of every pitch. It's that classic 'rostered' game. Patrick should absolutely be in his stead taking those MLB innings. He's earned it. He's pitching his best baseball. BUT, the game of the 40-Man dictates this. As does the silliness of the sentiment of "...well, we traded RHP Corbin Burnes...and that package mandates he has to pitch." Some of it is understandable. But, in a vacuum and with objectivity it doesn't make sense.
  4. Brailin just gave up a no-doubter hanging breaking ball bomb over the LF wall. His first long ball of the year. Pollard had been really laboring at the dish. Can't throw that pitch. Gotta try to get him to chase. Poor execution. 4-4 game. Nobody down.
  5. Meanwhile, Fitzy just grabbed a K swinging to open the 2nd frame. Heater. Batter behind. Di Turi, in his last two AB, has hit into outs on two pitches. Might want to see some pitches next AB.
  6. AND, the hit and run on, Briceno knocks one through the 2B side! It's 4-3 Muddies baby. Let's friggin GO! Di Turi to the dish.
  7. Yoshwar ties it on a groundball single up the middle past the diving SS - 109 mph grounder. Yowza. Yes Sir! It's a 3-3 game. His 29th RBI. Men on the corners. Two down. Briceno will see if he can get his bat a swinging with impact.
  8. Hendo leaves the third on a full count swinging K. Change-up. Three scoreless. 0-0 ball game.
  9. Oh. Sweet Mammy. He absolutely obliterated that high heater. BOOM. 1-0 Mudcats. Just absolute bomb over the LF high wall. Glorious. Two games. Two long John Silvers. First AB. 17 game hit streak extends in style. AND, Luke Adams is indeed back after a 2 game rest post-plunking. Noice!
  10. Fitzy with a clean first frame back in Wisconsin. HEY FOLKS WE GOT A SHOUTOUT FROM CHRIS EDWARDS BABY! 2:12:40 on the MiLB.TV broadcast @damuelle my Sweet Prince.
  11. Ok. Ok. Pull my leg. Timber Rattlers on Screen #3. Let's go!
  12. Sparks just ripped a two out single into left CF. Have I mentioned: He's HOT?
  13. David García just rocked an absolute rocket off the high RF wall. AND, just like that he has his 23rd and 24th RBI's of his season. Man, he crushed that 3-2 pitch. His 9th dub. It is a 3-2 game. Let's GO!!
  14. Meanwhile, I'm condensing to two games. Two screens. On my Independence Day Brewers baseball celebrations. Henderson just stranded a runner at 3B in the bottom of the 2nd after inducing a 2-2 shallow pop fly in LF. EBJ chased it down and caught it while running all over that grass chasing it.
  15. Walling takes the free pass. Noice! Makes this pitcher work a little bit. That's what we want to see. The young man continues to experience fantastic results at the dish over the past couple weeks. Hop aboard. Plennnnnnty of room aboard my Superfan Bullet Train.
  16. 10-for-his-last-35. His name is Reece Walling. You may have heard me 'Stan'? He has Yophery at 3B here with two down. Mudcats trail 3-0. Walling was stranded earlier in the game after his dub. Let's see if he can't amend and knock one across.
  17. RHP Brailin Rodriguez pitches a clean 4th frame in relief of the young Cortez. He gets the ground out to Pratt at SS, a swinging bunt fielded by García who fired to 1B for the out, and he worked around a single when in a 1-2 count García threw out the runner attempting to take 2B. Let's see if the snoozefest that is the Mudcats bats can change course.
  18. The Mudcats trail 3-0 headed to the 4th. They've only made the Down East pitcher expend 31 pitches in the process. Simmering Reece Walling (back in RF this evening) has a double as the lone Mudcat knock.
  19. Cortez gets the swinging K to end the 2nd frame for Down East. That's now 2 IP, 2 ER, 2 HR, 1 BB, 4 K. Pitch count already up to 40.
  20. I completely forgot we're back in Zebulon. LOL. Chris Edwards on the call. It's 2-0 Down East - Cortez has given up two solo jacks.
  21. Absoooooolutely. I have my running 'Prospect Notes' document(s) up on another screen. That is a surefire Copy/Paste. I put all the hard names in a separate document that remains open at all times. 😅 Writing reports and commenting in the forums as much as I do I can only free-hand type so many Zastryzny's and Adamczewski's.
  22. RHP Jesus Flores works around SS Tyler Rodriguez's 2nd charged throwing error of the afternoon and ends up K'ng the side. He goes 2 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 5 K to close out the Crew's 5-2 victory. They move back to six games under 0.500 at 19-25. Keep climbing, men! Let's get back to the middle ground and work from there! Flores picks up his first Save of 2024. Hernandez grabs the 'W' and moves to 2-1. Here's a fun one. The Brewers as an organization across 7 Levels of organizational baseball - MLB, Triple-A, Double-A, Single-A, ACL, and DSL - hold a whopping compiled record of: 272-208 We are experiencing a season in which the organization, as a whole, is in the early second half and share a 64 games over 0.500 record.
  23. It's a silly small sample for Bitonti. I'd temper the frown. He's 2-for-10, 3 BB, 6 K. That's three games of output. It just doesn't mean much whatsoever. What does is 0.305 BA and 1.004 OPS on the season. I'm not even all that concerned by 46 K on the season. He also has 29 free passes. The strikeout rate is obviously higher than we'd like overall but we're essentially seeing a true three outcome at this stage of his very young career: BB (22%), K (35%), XBH (15%). He's 18 years old. We can absolutely work with this regardless of how July has started.
  24. Adamczewski just went yard with two down in the 9th. 5-2 ACL Crew. Big insurance run there. Rodriguez and Bitonti singled with two down to put men on the corners. But, Holguin just lined out to SS to end the threat. 5-2 to the bottom of the 9th we go. In the bottom of the 8th, 19-year-old Venezuelan RHP Jesus Flores worked around a two out bases loaded jam by getting a K to end the threat. Let's see if he comes back in the 9th to try and close this out.
