  1. Barrios steals 2B. Wood has been having a seriously hard time transferring balls to his throwing hand the past two starts I've seen of his. He double pumps there and Barrios beats it.
  2. Inside slider gets Wichrowski's 4th K. Two down. men on the corners. 3 H, BB, Error, WP/PB (as predicted, they scored it a WP - BS).
  3. Now Made throws down the RF line and Burke can't corral it falling off the bag. Runners on the corners again. Still one out. SO, we have the Shuckers stranding the bases loaded with not a single ball even entering the infield. And, now we have the WP/PB and throwing error. Glorious. 2-0 Biscuits. One down. Runners now on the corners.
  4. AND, just like that, Wood fails to corral an inside heater. That has to be scored a Passed Ball - classic Wood snafu. Knowing Minor League scorers they'll credit that a WP. 2-0 Biscuits. Wood has to catch that ball. It was off target, yes. BUT, it was still very catchable. Goodness.
  5. A single to RF scores 1. The heady Spain catches Simpson rounding 2B (very likely thinking the runner at 3B was heading home) and they get the second out in the run down. Two down. 1-0 Biscuits.
  6. Can we all salute the Triple-A work of one RHP Justin Yeager? He just continues to sling it with purpose.
  7. With runners on 1st and 2nd after consecutive singles, nobody down, Blue decides to squeeze Wichrowski on a gorgeous 2-2 slider at the outer corner of the zone. He blows the called K looking. Batter walks on the next pitch. Sighs. So many sighs. Bases juiced. Nobody out.
  8. Predictably, Garcia K's swinging. Three pitches. Poor poor form from the bottom of the Shuckers order. A vintage Brewers classic: bases juiced. Nobody out. No runs.
  9. Spain chases a low inside pitch (his kryptonite). That's consecutive K's for the bottom of the Shuckers order. It's up to Garcia.
  10. Delgado now has a BB, 2B, and single. He leads off the 6th with a single to deep SS. He beats it out quite easily on the cross-body throw.
  11. Zavi goes down looking. Completely overmatched. Ugh. One down. Bases still juiced.
  12. Berroa with the great jump and casual sliding grab to his glove side on a shallow bloop liner to right CF. That's the final out. Great escape. Meanwhile, Wood pokes a grounder oppo through the left side. Bases juiced. Nobody down. Zavi Warren to the dish.
  13. Back-to-back walks for Wilken and Adams open the 2nd inning. Meanwhile, Cornielle absolutely did his job inducing a weak high pop fly to shallow LF. Black loses it in his lights with his hands up immediately. It falls to the grass to his right. Men on the corners instead of the inning over. Sigh.
  14. Cornielle opens his 5th with a HB. BUT, he follows with a line out to LF and his 6th punch out (looking).
  15. Wichrowski says "Hold my beer, Hoskins!" My goodness. He K's the side and it was nasty. THIS is the Wichrowski we know is in there. Can we get it for a full outing. The 98 mph swinging K inside heater was about the filthiest heater I've seen from him all season. He touched 99.8 mph in that first frame!
  16. 98 mph low inside corner 9-pitch swinging K from Wichrowski. Absolutely gorgeous heater there. Can we see that more often? What a pitch.
  17. Black follows suit with an RBI double to the left CF gap past the springing Bats LF'er.
  18. Wichrowski first AB K on a beautiful hard dipping curve in the dirt. Wood easily throws to 1B for the out. Berroa gets the one out double in the top of the 5th. Zamora grounded out to SS on the first pitch of the first AB.
  19. Made pops up to shallow LF in a 3-2 count. Two down. Burke swings at the first pitch for a chopper to ol' friend Jadher Areinamo at 2B. It's an easy 1-2-3 first for Hopkins. Cornielle strands the walked batter via fly out to LF, pop up to 1B, and K swinging. On to the 5th.
  20. Lara leads off the Shuckers playoffs with a 1-2 K looking at a curve. Hopkins is pretty dang filthy. And, he looks filthy early. Sitting 95-98 mph. Dropping a cutter, change, and curve in there.
  21. And, Cornielle leads off his 4th with yet another walk. That's 4 BB. 4 K. And 2 solo HR for Cornielle. Weird outing.
  22. Fifth stranded runner for the Sounds. Haase goes down swinging on a slider in a 3-2 count. On to the bottom of the 4th. Sounds trail 3-0.
  23. Dunn executes the reverse Delgado: he follows his first AB double with a second AB BB. Man on 1st. 2 down.
  24. My guy, Raynel Delgado, playing his second consecutive game at 1B has the first AB BB and now the 2nd AB oppo double ripped off the low part of the LF wall. Smoke show. I'm telling you: do not sleep on Raynel Delgado...as he is promptly caught stealing at 3B with one down 😅. Gorgeous throw from Banfield.
  25. Cornille gets ahead 0-2 yet again. Two straight dipping off-speed pitches. Can't get chase on the third. Nice pitch below the zone. Why not? 1-2 count. Gets him looking with the outside heater. That's 4 K for Cornielle who is very clearly showing he can strike out Triple-A hitters.
