  1. Muh Man! Could literally not agree more. This young man is electric and is the real jaw-dropping prospect to man that important SS position. He has that 'It' that you just do not see that often. His defense is, honestly, incredible with an accurate cannon of an arm to boot.

  4. Serious question: How have I never heard of Michael Menet on the Packers? Was this an in-season PS addition? I used to be 'Mr. Practice Squad' obscure roster reference. Now, I'm just old and lazy. Your depth of knowledge reminds me of my younger days. I love to see it!
  5. One thing remains true: Ethan Small has an incredible change-up. That pitch is filthy. He just continues to ascend off an incredibly successful stint over the winter. It's hard not to be excited about what he is doing and what he might become when he gets his chance.

  7. If I'm not mistaken, and I certainly could be as my memory gets foggier every season, Devin has oft struggled in the early going. I am unsure if he has struggled like this, but, as you point out: this is an extremely small 'sample' size. I would gather, Counsell isn't concerned...yet.

  9. Agreed on the qb's. It seems Willis and Pickett are locks and then there's a whole lot of mystery. The general consensus I've seen is maybe Willis would have fit into the tail end of last year's Top 5 qb's overall. Not really a good year to need a QB. I think what's even more interesting is Ridder's late ascent. A lot of teams apparently have him graded out as a Rd. 1 prospect this year. I sure hope he sneaks in there before 28.
  10. Ben Fennel and Brian Baldinger, respectively, have me feeling pretty rosy on Alec Pierce as a serious candidate for a Packer draft pick. It seems he's been routinely discussed as an early to mid Day 2 pick in the draft process from my limited exposure. Anyone else have any thoughts here?
  11. That season definitely further entrenched me in the Brewer dugout of fandom. I have extremely fond memories listening to radio calls of Deer monster shots while heading to my grandma's house in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin during that season. Ahhhhh, nothing like baseball nostalgia on an Easter Sunday morning.

  13. Thanks for the report @damuelle. What a frustrating night for the Sounds. You have to think White was sent on that fly ball thinking: "Hey, we might not get another chance to even attempt a plate crossing given the way this night has gone." A truly unfortunate evening. Let's see if Wisconsin and Biloxi can keep it churning.

  15. And, here I thought I had gotten Europe's THE FINAL COUNTDOWN out of sight and out of mind for the week. My wife is going to suffer, yet again. We have a running joke as I often have that cued on my IPhone in my bathrobe pocket when I descend the stairs to make coffee. Heads will be shaking again tomorrow morning...?

  17. @damuelle: with output like this, you might start getting serious looks for the call up to the ‘Big Club’. Great job! I felt like I was in attendance.

  19. I will give you my “I’m from Wisconsin. I’ve seen this 1,000 times before,” take: No ?
  20. Biloxi is indeed a FUN viewing. Tune in! The middle of the order 1-2 punch of Valerio and Wiemer is not fun for opposing pitchers. Bullpen is solid if not spectacular at times. A fun team to watch. They need more fans in that stadium - they deserve it.

  22. Great insights Tim. It would seem they are trending in the right direction and have carried last year’s Foundation into 2022. Here’s to more favorable pitcher’s counts ahead for the entire Brewers staff!

  24. ? True. True. Fear not…these won’t get longer. I just love watching these young men work on their craft. So much possibility.
