I really like this Brian Anderson pick-up. I know it's game 2. But given the absurd amount of strikeouts we are seeing across the line-up, this is a player I look at already and think "If he can stay healthy, this could be a really really good player for us in 2023."

Rowdy has had a real nice start to 2023. Yikes.

Really like the back-and-forth there between he and Contreras. Curve was particularly nasty today. Great first outing. All contact was from lunging bats. You love to see it in a first outing.

Come on, baby. Just bring it home. I need a Dub before heading to the Nashville kick-off.

Serious question: Who actually is our set-up man? Do we even have one?😂

Boy watching Brewers batters miss absolute meatball sliders dead center these first two games has me all sorts of disheveled. I'll take that flare and run for the exits!

As predicted, Boushley gets the nod. That's a very formidable Triple-A line-up. I'm excite. And, no Devanney Game 1? I'm cry.😂

Well, this is awesome. That is all.

I imagine that roster is so large, at present, because there are no other games in the system for a week. That's my piping hot take.

Well shucks, darn, shoot. Two games of Saturday baseball it is.😌

Manager Rick Sweet is a pretty traditional guy (with some tricks up his sleeve, no doubt). I would be surprised, personally, if the opening game starter wasn't last year's staff Ace in RHP Caleb Boushley.

Yeah their goaltending has really come around as the season has progressed. Gustavson has been really good for awhile now which is a huge bonus. Their ongoing performance with Kaprizov sidelined has been a truly pleasant surprise. I almost am getting my hopes up but, being a Brewers fan and Packers fan, I am conditioned to expect the worst. In years past, the Wild certainly haven't let me down unfortunately!

Boy some very hittable sliders right over the meat of the plate the past two innings. Just not our day at the dish.

Did the Cubs put Winker in LF?

What was that AB Rowdy? Yikes.

Nice inning from Guerra there. Those were some nasty sliders he threw to K Wisdom.

Ooooops. Wrong thread. Let's go hockey: I'm ready for my long-time NHL follow in the Minnesota Wild to bow out early in the playoffs. Sigh.

    Fair play, Sir! Fair play.

Great first MLB inning from Varland. Dealt with a shifting (shocker) strikezone. Threw very good stuff. Got out of a tough jam. Love it. Welcome to the Big Leagues! I believe we saw one change-up? Nice to see he didn't rely on his best pitch. Lot of tailing rise on that heater. This'll play.

This should shed a bright light on the true commitment and sacrifices these young men make to chase their dreams. I have the utmost and deepest of respect for their efforts. I will always cheer for the dream chasers. AND this is precisely why I will always advocate for those fringe and rotating roster spots at the MLB level to be used as try outs for the lower level guys. Keep giving them opportunities, please. They deserve it and they deserve more than one shot. This is a monumental feat for the players union and It still is not enough given the economics of 2023. That is all I will say on the matter.

Very exciting news for Javik and very exciting news for Garrett Greene heading to the Astros Triple-A affiliate at Sugar Land. Best of luck to both talented callers in 2023!

Good luck everyone. Hopefully we get a 'W' today. Hopefully, Burnes bounces back from costing the team the Playoffs in 2022🤭.
  23. Joseph Zarr
Yes Sir! So happy for David and his family. Hopefully, he takes this opportunity and runs with it. Much deserved!

Don't worry @adambr2today is a day where reverse roles appear en vogue: 🤷‍♂️

I'm surprised I didn't know he was DFA'd earlier that week 😅. I retract my stupidity but leave it posted for humility. Thanks for the response!
